Big Brother 8 Daily Coverage

Hi everyone! After covering the last 73 days of the live feeds, Jem and I have both ended up with important matters that require our time this weekend. Luckily, there isn't much more to report. We'll be using our "blog project" and two guest bloggers, JEDI, on Friday, and dumblond, on Saturday and Sunday. We will also provide a link to our forums where the Team Morty Live Feed Updaters will post updates if anything should happen. You'll still be in good hands during our absence.

How did we do? This year it took four web servers to handle all the traffic generated by our coverage of Big Brother 8. Even with more resources dedicated to Big Brother, than ever before, we had several outages caused by your traffic. We never charge for access, and I only ask after the season over for donations. I start each season with my fingers crossed, hoping the web site, forums, chat rooms, and media servers won't crash, and that our ISPs will be able to handle the load. Hi. JEDI here with you today. Not expecting much to happen today, with only 2 houseguests left, but I’ll be updating you every couple of hours on any action that we do get.

After midnight BBT last night…

12:03 BBT: Daniele says that “the people watching are bored out of their minds” or “die hard fans”…. both saying they never threw any competitions this season. “Except for yesterday”, says Dick. Daniele says “Shut up, you’re so mean”.

12:31 BBT: Dick again talking about “no car… what a gyp. (When he was talking about it earlier, and said “this is a first year they haven’t had a car”, Daniele told him to “get over it” since now “we can afford one”.)

4:20 BBT: Daniele sleeping. Dick up having a sandwich and something to drink. Not saying much; just occasional mutterings that the mic isn’t picking up too well. “Dick at night” is going strong. A couple of samples: “Tuesday night’s the end– WOW!”, “Here’s the biggest question of the day– where to go to sleep!”. Aaaand he’s in bed. FOTH.

5:06 AM BBT: Both (!!) houseguests sleeping.

7:00 AM BBT: Still sleeping. Daniele in the Big bedroom, Dick in the room with round beds.

9:00 AM BBT: The Donatos are still sleeping.

11:00 AM BBT: Yup, still sleeping. With probably nothing planned for today, as Jury questioning will most likely take place tomorrow, Big Brother is letting them sleep in.

1:00 PM BBT: Dick finally got up about 10 minutes ago. Went outside and found the drink he had been looking for after misplacing it last night.

1:25PM BBT: (katie2 reports that…) Dick is vacuuming the round room, and Danielle is sitting on BY couch.

2:00PM BBT: (bebecka23 reports that…) Dick and Daniele are both in the backyard, and are talking about Myspace and how many friends requests they will have when they get back. Dick thinks it’s weird they’ll have “fans” when they get out and it’s weird to him.

3:00PM BBT: Dick is in the HT, Daniele is taking a nap.
3:15PM BBT: Dick has folded some laundry, said a few things about Jen, (nothing we all haven't heard before) and now is in the kitchen eating leftover Chinese food from last night. After dinner he had a cigarette and expelled generous amounts of gas.
4:00PM BBT: Daniele goes outside and sits in the tea cup and goes for a spin. Now I guess it's Dick's turn to be sleeping. All four feeds are on Daniele.
Dick comes outside. Daniele called to DR (Darn, I thought we were going to get a little conversation going)
Dick told to put on his mic. He has to go back into bedroom to get it.

4:20PM BBT: Daniele is out of the DR and outside with Dick talking about Jen. Daniele complains about not getting music to wake them up because they woke up on their own. They're wondering about what's going on in the jury house. They think that Amber probably cried on the Early Show and House Calls. [Little do they know!]

Dick and Daniele talk about who they can't wait to see after the show [former houseguests]. Daniele says that she doesn't think she will keep in contact with many of these people. Dick said, "me too. " Dick says there are going to be a lot of them that hate him after they see his diary rooms. Daniele says she can see Zach stalking her after the show.

Daniele is called to diary room Again! [Maybe she'll come out with something for them to do? ] Dick is still outside, he tells a bug to "Get the F out of here!" Daniele out of DR. We get FotH briefly because she's starting to talk about questions from the DR.

She says she was only in there for a few questions. One about how she is going to "sell him out?" They are wondering if Zach cried after he got out. Daniele wondering what time the questions are going to be tomorrow. They talk about what they are going to ask them, and how this year they didn't add anything new. Dick talks to the bugs again.

5:00PM BBT: The Vacation is Over.. Dick and Daniele are quarreling again:
Dick comes back outside-" I'm saving this other candy bar for you, do you want it?"
Daniele: "Noooo"
Dick: "Fine, i'm gonna eat it"
Dick sits down again and Daniele goes inside and upstairs to lay on the couch outside the HOH to pout
Dick was irritated that Daniele wasn't impressed that that he's friends with the lead singer of Suicidal Tendencies. It's the boredom, and Daniele doesn't deal with boredom well. Daniele's pouty attitude is back. Daniele is going through her bags, Dick is on the patio. Dick says, "I think we've spent too much time together, I think we need some time apart, not two years, but at least two days."

Dick goes into the SR and laughs, "That's so cool, she'll be very happy." He calls for her but doesn't know she's in the gym. Dick takes out the trash and complains about ants.

5:30PM BBT: Dick takes the package he got in the SR to Daniele. Dick says, "White hair powder, and Twix." Daniele says, "Thanks BB." Dick wants to try a Twix bar, but Daniele tells him just one, "It has to last five days."

6:00PM BBT: Dick outside painting his nails and Daniele inside at the kitchen bar, she just sneezed. The camera operator is having fun zooming in on the nail polish. Dick is swearing at the bugs again. He's remarkably good at painting his nails; no mess!

6:30PM BBT: Dick is chopping vegetables and having a chat with Daniele, it alternates from pleasant to bitchy. When the subject is Jen, everything's OK, and they're happy. When the subject turns to life outside the house things can get edgy. There are a few funny comments, like they said that when Mike paints a house, "I'll bet he does it with his shirt off..." Daniele said, and is right. They see him as a house painter on "Desperate Housewives."

Discussing what they will do when they get out of the house. Dick says something about Daniele going to MN when she gets out and this gets her feathers riled. [I got the impression she didn't want anyone to know that those were her plans. -MsT]

Dick says he's going to try and get out of his lease, then he wants to go to Dublin, even though the weather isn't that good in the fall. There is talk about going to NY to see Eric, catching a Jets and Yankees game. Dick speculates on whether Vincent can take off a few days from his new job to join them.

Daniele is looking forward to going back to her job in one way, but in another way she doesn't want to have to deal with annoying people... after spending the summer with those kind of people.

If Dick saw Jen anywhere he would totally ignore her and pretend he didn't even know her. Talk about how much Jen likes to drink and they couldn't believe anyone would let her be a nanny to their kids with the amount that she drinks.

Talk moves to Kail and how she couldn't see Jen for who she was and how Jen was up sleeping in the HoH with Kail just kissing butt. How Jameka loved Daniele's eviction nomination when she (Daniele) put up Kail.

8:10PM BBT: Dick and Daniele discussing the live feeds and how much they cost; Dick thinks maybe $5 a month. Discussing when they get out it will take a while to get through all the info. They'll want a break, but at the same time they'll want to know everything that happened. [Hi guys if you're reading! -butfirst] Discussing watching the shows and how long it will take. They're interested in Julie Chen's commentary on the rivals situation. Daniele comments on how nice it will be going to the bathroom without cameras. She mentions that the first thing she did on the plane on her trip was look for the camera; it was weird that there weren't cameras everywhere.

8:20PM BBT: They seem to know a bit about what's coming up; apparently they've been asked to change into specific outfits to record something, and then Daniele starts talking about, "How cheesy is that episode gonna be?" (Maybe the recap episode on Sunday?) She comments about the little room, and we get FotH for a bit. Still, talking about Jen, Dick thinks that she'll be very surprised about how she's perceived; she has her own skewed perception. They're finishing up dinner. Daniele reminisces about Jen coming out of the Diary Room crying after she evicted Mike, imitating her movements with her hair; that was weird; why would she care; she didn't care about anyone but herself. Dick: "She was a freak; she thought she was such a good actress."

Daniele complaining, "I'm not gonna do my makeup or anything! This is retarded; suddenly different hair, different makeup!" (Pretending to be BB:) "Um, can you two go in the bathroom and reminisce about Joe throwing the poop?" (Apparently in reference to BB asking them to stage certain conversations and/or scenarios.) Daniele in the bathroom doing makeup; camera one zooms in on some container (?Daniele's beauty accessories; hard to see.)

Daniele: "We're ready! Let's get this over with." To Dick: "Go put on that shirt so we can get this over with." Dick asks if they're ready for them. Daniele says, "probably." He says, "Okay, give me two seconds." Finishes his cigarette and heads inside. Daniele sits down at round table while Dick goes and changes. When he's done Daniele goes into the DR to tell them "we're freaking ready." FotH.

9:00PM BBT: Feeds back. Dick comments that the one thing he misses about having more people here is that he likes cooking, but he'd rather have other people to clean up. Daniele thinks it's pretty sad that that's the one thing he misses.

9:10PM BBT: Dick and Daniele continue cleaning up after dinner. Daniele: "Showtime-- if you're watching, DON'T!" Daniele suggests that viewer go on-line and get a date, or get a life, or get some sleep, or both. Dick says, "Your grandmother is watching on Showtime." Daniele: "I bet she isn't. I think she cancelled after the second week, after Jen exposed herself, and Zach streaked-- She called them up and said she wasn't paying for that kind of filth." Dick: "Even with us on?" Daniele: "You know what she's like..." Dick: "Yeah, maybe."

9:45PM BBT: Daniele is napping, but BB gave them a collection of family games, Chinese checkers, Parcheesi, Texas Hold 'em Poker Cards, Checkers, Chess and backgammon. Dick unwraps the games, but he has no one to play with.

10:00PM BBT: Dick keeps rolling dice at the round dining table keeping us informed of what he is rolling. Daniele in bed.

10:20PM BBT: For the moment, Dick's out of commentary for season seven, and if giving a a rundown of season five, "Drew and Cowboy at the end........lame." "Cowboy up for all stars...give me a fucking break....lame."

Dick can't remember all the cast members of season six, "I couldn't remember those people except for Janelle." ."...Kaysar, nice guy horrible player. Howie, big fat tool. All-Stars I really liked. Is this season better than All-Stars? I don't know. " Dick goes on to say, "There was backstabbing there, but there was backstabbing here. Had to be done. Had to do it. Chose to do it." Dick says that the backstabbing was a smart move and he was on the receiving end of it too, "Zach backstabbed us. And a lot of backdooring this season."

Dick's Random Thoughts:
"I wasn't put up as a replacement nominee."
"It's different living it than watching it."
"What a fuckin' summer. I'm tired-- I have a right to be."
"The Pawn always goes home. If you ever play the game, don't be the pawn."

10:30PM BBT: Dick: "Look what they would've missed, [if he wasn't cast] nobody played this game like me before-- Good luck if you try." "Final two with my daughter, how badass was that? Unfuckingbelievable! Wow."

"My feet are so fucking swollen." Dick makes a lot of old man sounds, "ooh" "ahhh" every time he moves or bends. God I'm so sore....so tired."

Dick goes to the HT for a soak.

10:50PM BBT: "One thing I know for sure: It will be a Danato." Dick tells Vincent if he's watching: "I miss you so much" He says he'll see him on Tuesday."

10:55PM BBT: Daniele is asleep in her room.

Dick is reminiscing about the days when the HT was full of people and Jen was popping out of her bathing suit, "What a skank. Rock on motherfuckers, rock on Jameka." He still complains about the pain in his legs, "My legs...oooo my legs."

"Tomorrow...questions from the jury... Most people in the final two would be stressing, I couldn't give a shit. Daniele could give a shit. Who fucking cares."

11:00PM BBT: "the pawn always goes home" saying to us "if you ever play the game" "don't be the pawn" telling us a recap of all the pawns that went home this season.....

11:40PM BBT: Dick's done with the hot tub and heads inside to the round room..."Showtime already saw my ass today, fuck off" Dick says it will be nice to change to be able to walk around naked.

Dick heads back outside to smoke and his remarks are becoming really is being repetitious, his talk about the other HGs, his aches and pains, and self-congratulatory oratories.
