Big Brother 8 Daily Coverage

To Review. . . Jameka told Amber she thinks Daniele will use the PoV to take Amber off the block so they can backdoor someone, maybe Eric. Daniele is planning on backdooring someone, Jen. Daniele is concerned about Jen's reaction to the nomination and having to live with her for the three days after the PoV meeting on Monday. Yesterday, Daniele's good luck continued as she won the PoV and a mystery trip that will take her and Amber out of the house. So everyone thinks they know their place in the house, and there's no need for much drama. This leaves us with eight boring people living on sound stage 18 on the CBS back lot.

12:45AM BBT: Dick and Eric are in the kitchen, Eric is still reveling in his success. Zach has gone to bed. Daniele was being cranky and is spending some time alone in her room [a self-imposed time-out]. Jessica and Amber are dipping their feet in the HT. Jameka is nearby and offering her usual "Mhuuummmm" to the conversation. The girls are a little giddy, earlier, they were playing quarters with the boys.

1:35AM BBT: Lies, Lies Lies. Eric tells Jameka and Jessica that Zach told him that he threw the PoV competition when Dick was on the block to help Dick. I didn't hear Zach say this, and if he did say it, it's not true. Zach didn't want to win and be pressured by either side. When the girls hear this news from Eric, Jameka says, "With that being said, there must be an alliance there, wouldn't you think?" "I believe so. I think it has been that way since Nick left. That still leaves a pretty powerful alliance of three." Eric also says that the letter from Nick to Daniele that says to say "Hi" to Zach confirms it, "He didn't say to say 'Hi' to anyone else." Eric points out. "They should never have permitted her [Daniele] to receive a letter from someone that was in the house, and certainly one that mentions another houseguest."

Eric goes on to promote the idea that Daniele, Dick and Zach are in an alliance. [Eric might believe it himself, it's hard to tell.] Another thing that bothers Eric is that 35% of America thinks Zach was the sexiest bunny. Eric says that the biggest liar in this game is Zach.

2:00AM BBT: Quick update: Eric, Jessica and Jameka are outside in the lounge chair talking. Seems like they're talking about Dick and his actions. Jameka says Dick doesn't do well on slop. They're talking about the food comp and what Dick did that they didn't like.

2:35AM BBT: All feeds are still on Jameka, Eric and Jessica chatting in the BY. Jameka just suggested that if it's Jen and Daniele in the end and Eric and Jessica said they'd vote for Jen, Jameka wonders if Daniele realizes that, and if that's the reason why Jen is a threat to Daniele.

They've been talking about different scenarios with what will happen this week. Now they're talking about different TV shows, such as Fresh Prince and Seinfield.

4:05AM BBT: Eric and Jessica in hammock outside. All others appear to be sleeping. Read more

5:30AM BBT: Dick is now up. He ran into Jessica and Eric a little earlier in the bathroom and has joined them outside. Eric is stroking Dick’s ego about how “NO ONE” expected Dustin to go home and Dick being the mastermind of that.

6:00AM BBT: Dick, Eric and Jessica are talking about Dustin's eviction last week, and Dick is so excited Jen is going home this week and can’t wait to see her face. See the Video

General chitchat between Eric, Jessica, and Dick continues. Nothing important or game strategy. Example topics: Jessica's state Senator, who Dustin would have had sex with in the house and TiVo.

Dustin's order if he were to sleep with the women in the house. Jameka was upset because she was second to last. The order was Danielle, Carol, Jen, Amber, Jessica, Jameka and Kail. Eric said he kept bringing it up all week so that Jameka would stay upset with him.

They start bashing Carol and Dustin; they think Julie asked Dustin how he felt after saving Eric knowing that Eric had now voted him out. General talk of how it’s been an easy week.

6:40AM BBT: Dick has gone back inside and the conversation resumes between Jessica and Eric of "what if" situations where the other would get mad and/or jealous. It goes on till 8am. It's 8:22am. 9:10AM BBT: All HGs still sleeping. 10:30AM BBT: Zack up and to the bathroom, didn't wash his hands (yuck) and back to bed, on Nicks old bed on the floor. 11:30AM BBT: Still sleeping. 12:10AM BBT: Still sleeeeeeping!

12:45PM BBT: Jen's up and so is Zach. Eric says, "Yeah!" because he is finally able to get into the storage room. [BB must have kept it locked this morning]

1:00PM BBT: Jen is dressed, looks like she's going to work out, went into bathroom, put on socks. She came out, put on shoes and her headband, and went into kitchen. Zach asked if she was going to work out, she said yes, she is getting fat. Zach didn't deny it. He said, "Hurry up, salmon!" and she said something about being on slop.

Jameka is now up and in the bathroom. Jen said hi to her on her way through.

Zach's salmon is done; he puts a lot of pepper on it and says something about having the blackened salmon. He is eating at the kitchen counter. Jen is running on the stepper. Zach is enjoying his salmon. Jameka is up and around and so is Dick. Daniele soon follows. [There isn't much going on, lots of general chit chat. You can read it here. Read more ]

2:00PM BBT: Daniele and Zach are outside tanning and chit chatting. Dick is out there smoking.

2:20PM BBT: Jessica and Eric are still sleeping. Zach is sunbathing, along with Jen and Daniele. Amber was in the bathroom, putting on lotions.

Quality of conversation? Well, a plane goes overhead. Southwest. No, JetBlue.

Zach just asked Daniele how she celebrated her 21st birthday. She tells a story of being at her boyfriend's family's summerhouse. He asks what they did that was special for her 21st. She gives up nothing, but Zach continues to question her about it - especially the drinking side of such celebrations. Amber joins them.

2:40PM BBT: General Sunbather Topics:
- The lack of sunshine due to clouds.
- Red Velvet cupcakes for Daniele's b-day.
- A 'sticky money dress' at a wedding instead of more typical methods.
- Tipping 'just a dollar" anywhere is humiliating, per Zach. He tips $10 for car wash, pedicure, service providers.
- Making faces at the moving camera (on the pole between their chaise lounges).

It has been your basic silent sunbathing since last post. [while I watch the Ice Truckers marathon - katydidit] FYI: Jen returned from the kitchen and said that all the lights are on in the house (so lights must stay on now). 3:15PM BBT: First Jen and then Amber called to the DR. They find this strange since it's Sunday.

Zach is amazed at how much chocolate and junk food the girls eat in the house. Jen says she's the worst of all of them. Zach says, "It will catch up with you, though." Daniele reacts - miffed, "I get so tired of people saying that. My mother had five kids and she's still smaller than I am. It runs in the family."

3:25PM BBT: Zach: "So are you just going to stay out here and be lame?"
Daniele: "Shut up. I haven't laid out in three weeks and there's nothing else to do."
Zach: "I'm sure there must be something to do."

And Zach goes inside He sits down at the counter and does nothing.

3:35PM BBT: Amber joins him (now dressed for the DR) and has a bowl of slop. Jameka is up and joins them. Daniele comes in from outside and pulls up a stool between Zach and Amber. Jen returns from the DR, Dick comes into kitchen, Jameka is called to DR. Dick teases Jen for insisting that there are no DRs on Sundays. (Either Amber hasn't gone yet or she was called in to be with Jen for a moment.)

4:10PM BBT: Food is done. Amber is now in the DR, Jen is not shown. Zach was still at the counter. No sign yet of Eric and Jessica. Dick is outside with Jameka, with all four feeds. They make light chat about Joe and Dustin, cameras, and planes. They speculate that Daniele's birthday party must be tonight -- BB wouldn't wait until next Sunday. Zach joins them (still doing nothing).

Eric comments on Nick's letter to Daniele: "It looked like something a 13-year-old girl would have concocted."

Eric loses a bet-- or did he plan this?

It's time for the food competition and Zach thinks he looks the best.

Zach is crazy

It's beer pong with 55 gallon cups.

Once you get your ball in the cup, the cup is covered.

The red team wins 10 to 9

Tonight's Broadcast: The HGs react to Dustin's eviction, and Amber cries, "I got so played, and, like it's so hard for me to, you know to deal with that, because, like I-- in this game, like, I haven't tried to play anybody, and, um, maybe I need to start trying. I don't know what to do. I'm so confused." Jameka says, "The game has totally shifted. People that thought I could trust I can't trust. Nothing makes sense. Nothing... makes sense."

But there are things that don't make sense to Amber either, the vocabulary of her fellow housemates. Amber: "Do you know what the word 'charismatic' means?" "Is it the same word as 'charming.'" "What does 'ridicule' mean?" "What does 'superficial' mean?" "What does 'integrity' mean?" "What does 'back-door' mean?" "A lot of times people say big words and I say, 'what does that mean?' I do that a lot. People think I'm so stupid." "What about this morning and were like 'you're outed.' I don't even know what 'outed' means. Honestly, I still don't understand what it means." "What's a sub-alliance?"

Dick comments from the DR "I would be surprised if her vocabulary is above her eight-year-old daughter's." One day, Dick told Amber and Jameka that he didn't need any comments from the peanut gallery. "What does-- what is: 'peanut gallery'?" Amber asks, and Jameka couldn't answer, "I don't know if he's saying the fact he eats peanuts." They didn't show it on TV, but the two of them were offended by the comment, and spent a while trying to figure out what the phrase meant. See the Video

Daniele gets her HoH room and a big hand-made card from Nick. Eric comments from the DR on Nick's handicraft, "Not only does she receive a letter from Nick, but it's some sort of scrapbook album. He's an oversized, you know, enormous, scary, scary man, and he makes some glitter hearts and sparkles on it and gets out his best highlighters to accentuate it. I mean, it looked like something a 13-year-old girl would have concocted." See the Video

What is beer pong? The nightly games of beep pong are played even when there's no beer. The players started wagering on the beer pong games and the wagers started to become more outlandish. Eric lost a wager where he had to wear women's size small booty shorts, and in another contest Eric ended up wearing Jessica's clothes. Zach comments from the DR: "I think Eric, he looked all right in that dress for him. It was very scary. Eric has very long, slender legs, and so he filled the dress out very nice. "

The food challenge is next and it begins with everyone putting on white sheets for togas, it's a toga party beer pong game. From the DR, Zach comments: "It's going to sound self-centered here but I think I looked the best in the toga. To be honest, my arms looked great."

Daniele hosts: "Houseguests, go ahead and split yourself up in two teams of four, a red team and a blue team. Welcome, fraternal brothers and sisters of the Big Brother 8 house. Does this game look familiar? We have been playing beer pong all summer long. Now, pledges, the cups are larger, the balls are bigger and the stakes are higher. Welcome to 'Slop Pong.' Here's how it works. One at a time, you will throw your giant ping-pong ball towards the cups on the opposite side of the net. If the ball lands inside one of the cups, that cup gets closed, and you no longer have to shoot at it. Close all 10 cups first, and you'll eat for the week. The losers are not as fortunate. You'll be on slop. But, there's hope. If both teams can get a ball into their 'feast cup' before the game ends, the entire house will earn one hardy feast later in the week. Even those of you on slop will get to enjoy the delicious dinner. Let's see if all those late-night beer pong battles have finally paid off. It's time to play slop pong!"

The score was tied up at the final round, and each team only needed one more basket to win! Eric had not made a shot the whole game, until now when he sunk the winning basket to win for the red team of Dick, Eric, Jessica and Zach, Daniela was on the losing team, but as HoH she still gets to eat. Eric's task was to get Amber nominated, he said it would be a breeze.

The nominations were next: Daniele: "This is the nomination ceremony. . Being HoH again, it's a really rough situation to be in. This, honestly, was one of the hardest decisions that I've had to make. I have played this game strictly strategic, not personal, and I plan to stick that way. With saying that, Jessica, you nominated me last week, I told you I didn't take it personal, and if you didn't believe me now, I hope that you do." Jessica got her key first followed by, Jen, Dick, Zach, and Eric, you are safe. Daniele: "I'm sorry, Amber and Jameka, I have chosen to nominate both of you. Amber, since day one, you get along with everybody in this house, and it's the same with you, Jameka. Everybody in this house. Everyone loves both of you so much. You have impacted people's lives in this house, and truth be told I don't want to be sitting next to you, and I don't want to be sitting next to you in the final two because I might not have a chance of winning next to both of you because of the wonderful relationships that both of you have built with people in this house. And with that said, I'm giving you both a fair chance to fight for the power of veto. This meeting is adjourned."

From the DR, Amber comments on her nomination: "I just feel like, you know, everything happens for a reason. I feel like everything is already ordained as to, you know who is going to win the game. And Jameka tries to do things that will make us smile on a daily basis. I am not worried about being on the block this week. If everything pans out as God has told me, I'm going to win PoV tomorrow and Jameka and I will be in the final two. I just know it." Daniele lets us know that, "Jen is actually the real target. She is probably one of the biggest competitors in this game. So she definitely is a threat. I'd rather take her out now while I can."

Eric's next task: "Eric is working for you, America, and it's time to tell him what to do. America's Player is going to share a special moment with another houseguest. 6:30PM BBT: Amber and Jameka were in the bathroom and Jameka told her to only tell Daniele that she (Amber) wouldn't put her up if she wins HoH next week. Amber agrees. All four feeds are now on Jen and Eric in the HT, he is giving her his thoughts about Daniele and Dick's backdoor strategy. Eric's stroking Jen's ample heaving ego. Dick comes out and is messing with the grill. Eric asked Dick if he would mind throwing a couple hot dogs on there for him and Dick says, "No not at all." Jen leaves to work out and Dick asks Eric what that conversation was about. Eric just lies that she was complaining about being on slop and how fat she is getting.

7:00PM BBT: Dick brings in a big platter of hot dogs and burgers from the grill.

7:15PM BBT: Amber and Danielle are talking in the HoH room. Amber and Danielle have made a deal (Daniele was taking her off anyway) but Amber just sold out everyone including Jameka. She also sold out Dustin. [Opinions by our live feed updaters]

In return, Danielle asked her not to tell anyone that they made a deal. Amber asked her if she was telling her dad and she said, "No, I am not telling anyone." Amber thanks Daniele over and over again and tells her it means so much to her that she would save her this week and Daniele said, "It's ok, you're welcome."

They hug again and Amber tears up again saying thank you Daniele you don't' know how much this means to me, you really saved me and I promise I won't put you up if I win HoH, not next week or two or three weeks down the road, she promises. | See Video #1 | See Video #2 |

Amber then goes into the bathroom, waits until her and Jameka are alone, and then tells her that she made a deal with Daniele but was asked not to tell her, and that they're safe. They are headed into another room so Amber can tell the story. Amber tells her the entire story and even adds a little embellishment on her behalf. She also tells Jameka that she told Daniele that she would vote out Jameka if Daniele asked her too, that she was in it for herself in this game. | See the Video |

7:35PM BBT: BB calls for an outdoor LD, and house erupts in cheers expecting it to be to set-up for Daniele's birthday party.

8:30PM BBT: Daniele's Birthday party is underway and the ones on slop cannot eat the cake and ice cream. She got homemade cookies from Georgie, that's Lindsey's mom, and pictures of Lindsey and Paul, and bubble bath for her gifts. She got a card with cats on it, and a letter. The expression on her face says the letter isn't from who she hoped it would be. Big Brother gave her the red velvet cupcakes from Sprinkles that she had asked for. This was Daniele's 21st birthday, but told the HGs that it's her 22nd, because she didn't want anyone to know she was under the legal drinking age. Until tonight, when Dick slipped, no one knew her secret. | See the Video |

After the party, Daniele puts away the cupcakes and goes back to her room where she re-reads her letters. She looks sad and the camera pans over to Nick's picture.

Daniele goes back downstairs and sits with Dick at the breakfast bar. He asks here, "Do you want to talk about it?" Daniele: "No." Dick: "Do you want to swing in the hammock for awhile?" Daniele: "No." She's goes back to her room to listen to music. Zach is on the balcony playing chess.

9:20PM BBT: Amber and Dick are talking in the BY, she is asking how many interviews you do when you get evicted. Dick mentions doing House Calls and, Amber asks, “What’s House Calls.” He tells her it’s an Internet talk show.

Dick says, “Your trip out of the house obviously isn’t today.” They speculate when the mystery trip will take place. The other feed is still on Zach.
Now they're talking about Kail and why she was in the house.

9:30PM BBT: Amber is asking about Dustin’s eviction and Dick tells her it was “so last minute.” Amber says she had a feeling and the feeds changed.

Eric and Jessica are whispering in the bathroom. She wonders if he is worried, he tells her he thinks that Dick and Daniele are trying to make a deal with Amber. Eric tells her he thought Jameka was the one that would be taken off the block, not Amber.

9:45PM BBT: Eric and Daniele are in the HoH room. Daniele says it's hard to communicate with people on the outside and you don't know what's going on. Eric has a girl on the outside and they can't decide if they need to commit to each other or go their separate ways. He says he is sure his girl is not enjoying watching him and Jessica on the show. Eric says he is sure Daniele's boyfriend feels the same way but he is not prying or asking her for any info.

Daniele asks if Jen told him what happened. Something Jen was asked in the DR. BB voice tells them to quit talking about their DR session, but Daniele continues to quickly whisper it while the BB voice is talking (I can't hear enough of what she said for it to make sense).

Amber and Jameka are in the BY. Jameka has some Shirley Temple hairdo going on. Amber is re-hashing her conversation with Daniele. Amber says she has got to get HoH next week. They think Jen will be the replacement nomination. Amber is eating slop and there's lots of slurping, smacking, and open-mouth chewing going on

First, Amber says she isn't a threat and wasn't the intended vote out, then, she says if Zach would have won she was the target. Dick comes out and the conversation changes (I think, I couldn't really tell if they were talking game in the first place -dumblonde)

Back in the HoH, Eric doesn't think he would like to see his girlfriend doing naked jumping jacks in front of some guys. Eric believes if he would not have come in the house he and his girlfriend were heading in a good direction, but now he isn't sure. Eric says he knows she is not big about getting into things, but if she ever wants to talk about her boyfriend he his there. Daniele says "UGH, we are only half way through the game." Daniele feels bad about the whole Kail vote-out but she thinks Kail is the lucky one because she got to go home. They kid around with each other. They talk about the mustard bandit. Eric doesn't give two shits who did the mustard thing and he will call them and thank them for doing it when he gets home. Daniele said Nick probably did it and that's why America loves him, but she thinks he would have told her he did it before he left. They don't think Dick did it because Dick would have told everyone if he did.

Jen and Jessica decide to play football with the quarter.

Back in the HoH room, Eric tells about his talk with Jen. He claims Jen said there is no way she could win the game so she doesn't understand why anyone would think of her as a threat. Eric says he told Jen that he does think she is a threat but does agree that she can't win. Jen said, "That's not funny." Eric says he told her he was kidding... Maybe. Eric says Jen is a freak and demented. Eric and Daniele decide to go play quarters.

11:10PM BBT: Now they are playing spin the bottle [using a can] so it's "spin the Budweiser" and asking questions like "Who is America's favorite?" "Who is most likely to make out with Eric? And appropriately the answer was Eric. "What one of us is pregnant?" It was Jameka. "Who is the big liar?" It was Eric.

11:15PM BBT: The 'Spin the Budweiser' game is still going with everyone but Dick. "Who will be one of the final two?" It's Eric "Who will be the last one into sequester?" It was Zach. "Who is still triple dealing alliance in this house?" It was Jessica. "Who is most likely to have a relationship with Julie Chen?" It was Amber. "Who was the first person to share a kiss in this house? " It was Jessica and Zach. "Who really wants to be home right now?" it was Jameka, though she says it wasn't. "Who is Julie's favorite HG?" Amber.
