Big Brother 8 Daily Coverage

About Today's Coverage: It's Sunday and I'm taking some time off today. Since the live feeds went on Jem has been preparing all the posts, I've been writing where and as much as I can, and we're beat. So from time-to-time throughout the season, we'll be using special guest bloggers to fill in for us. Today, our special guest author is DumBlonde. Jem and I will cover the late night and early AM, at which point we'll post the link to today's Blog. We'll be back tonight after the Big Brother broadcast on CBS. Thanks to DumBlonde for the time off.

According to the HGs, the PoV meeting will be tomorrow. If there's a change to these plans it'll be noted somewhere and covered.

After Midnight... It was beer pong and bashing last night. At 8PM Dick told Dustin, "I'm not going to give you a hard time any more, I got what I wanted. You can tell the others that too." and by 10PM he was back to his old self heckling Dustin and Jameka. Dick did come inside where Daniele was socializing with the others and Dick even laughed at times.

The game's over now and Dick and Daniele are on the patio. Dick: "Dustin was out here earlier by himself and I told him, 'You're going to be the first one out of your group.'"
Daniele: "Stop harassing people."
Dick: "I'm just giving them advice. I go, 'Weeee.'"
Daniele: "You need to stop, seriously."
Dick: "Why? I'm creating paranoia, planting the seeds of paranoia."

And there's plenty of paranoia to go around. Amber thinks that Eric and Dick were at one time in an alliance, and now Amber and Jameka think that Eric's in a secret alliance with Dustin. Amber and Jameka still want Eric out, but of course he's not their top priority. The RCA's hatred for Dick goes pretty deep.

Dick related that Michael, a producer in the DR, instructed Dick not to roll over and die, but to fight to get the votes to keep both him and Daniele in the house. [If you remember, I previously wrote that BB gives every nominee the same speech, so it's not unfair.] Daniele groans that if they wanted them to stay, they should have said something before they dug themselves into a whole they'll never get out of."

12:20AM BBT: Zach joins them on the patio and of course comes off as their trusted pal and confidant. Zach repeats all the gossip he was privy to in the HoH. Zach tells them about Dustin's remark about Dick staying and not using the PoV to save Daniele, "Why be the father you never were at the very end?" The comment doesn't phase Dick, he just huffs and says, "Idiot."

Daniele has a goal to get Eric out before Dustin, " if you leave Dustin in here with those three women, they will eat him up alive. If those three are alone without Eric, that's when we pull Jessica back on our side."

.When the PoV is used, Jessica plans on putting up Dustin in either Dick or Daniels's place. Dustin is still happy with the idea he thinks it'll be a big slap in the face to Dick. [Anyone for a banner plane? If they only knew that there's a good chance America will use Eric to vote Dustin out, and with Dick's vote, Jen and Zach's vote it would be a 4 to 2 vote to evict Dustin. -Morty]

12:50AM BBT: Zach, Daniele, and Dick are still in the BY talking strategy. Daniele says 'I'll say we came in the house separately," regarding the plan to "plant the seed" that Dick will use the POV on himself.
Zach leaves, and Dick says, "See, he does what he's told."

Daniele thinks Eric and Jessica are 'hooking up', she says "I called it when they were sitting on the couch." Dick says he hasn't ripped on Eric's stupid haircut in the DR yet. Dick says, "Julie better not give anything away with you (Daniele) in her questions with you."
Then FotH.

1:15AM BBT: Dick is still giving game advice to Daniele for when he's gone. He wonders, "Who could you get friendly with? Maybe Amber." Daniele: "She's got Dustin." Dick: "I mean after he's gone. She'll be a wreck." Daniele: "She'll have Jameka." Dick: "Well, anyway, stay close to Zach. He's as loyal as a lap dog." [She's doomed.]

1:30AM BBT: In the HoH room a slumber party is in progress. There's not much trash talk going on, maybe because Jen is there. During the time I was listening, they were talking about teeth. Read more

1:50AM BBT: Jessica and Eric are alone in the kitchen, she's fixing a sandwich. Jessica asks Eric to tell her about his OCD He likes things grouped in collections of five. Things must be symmetrical. He has a pattern of walking so he doesn't step on sidewalk cracks (like Jack Nicholson in "As Good as it Gets"). He says he used to be obsessive about hand washing, but not as much anymore. Amber and Jameka join them. Jameka: 'I'm feeling aggressive, I don't know if we are talking about the same thing-- I'm fed up!'

2:30AM BBT: Daniele and Dick are in the round room doing Jedi training (that's practicing Q&A stuff that could turn up in an HoH contest but never does), Dustin's in the HoH with the rest of the RCA and he's rehearsing yet another speech, "I will give Dick the respect he never gave us and not say anything." Eric says, "I'd say, 'And next week we're sending your daughter to you in sequester so you can be the father that you failed to be during the last 21 years." Dustin replies, "Well I think Dick has done enough despicable things in here that we don't have to go outside for stuff." [Very good Dustin. -Morty] Then there's just more RUTT until Dustin goes to bed. Eric leaves around 3:00AM.

2:45PM BBT: There really isn't much going on... [It's almost as bad as yesterday when I made Morty come updated the page and we had FotH for two plus hours... lol] See the Video

Now they are talking about Kail and wondering what she does and doesn't own. They think she has a holiday home and her husband is an assistant manager at a grocery store. More Kail discussion and some of the things she told everyone while she was in the house.

3:05PM BBT: Still no sign of Jessica, Eric, Daniele, Jameka and Amber. Jen and Dustin are sunning themselves while Zach and Dick and chit chatting.

At 4:00PM Zach and Dick were talking about Mel Brooks movies of the 70's & 80's. At 4:15PM Zach played a game of lawn chess with Eric. At 4:30PM Jen, Dustin, Zach and Eric are in the kitchen thinking about fixing something to eat.

At the food challenge, HGs had to smash guitars to get $ signs or "slop" cards.

They were given the proper wardrobe to look like rock stars, but it was just another day for Dick.

The red team lost, but looked great.

At the PoV meeting Dick and Daniele were nominated for their attempt at evicting Eric.

Tonight's Broadcast: (Delayed 15 minutes due to PGA Golf Tournament) After Kail was evicted, from the DR Dick comments that he knows he was played and he doesn't mind admitting it. Before the HoH contest, Dick talked to the HGs in the kitchen: "Good thing you guys gave your word. Eric is still here, the biggest liar of the bunch. Great job." From the DR, Amber said: "I forgive Eric for what he did, but I don't forget. I have to kind of watch what I say to him and not trust him with everything."

Eric was the happiest with Jessica's winning the HoH contest. After the contest, Dick was stirring up everyone's emotions. Dustin: "Don't ever tell me what to do--" Dick: "Shut up." Dustin: "Don't you ever tell me to 'shut up' again." Dick: "Shut up. I'm telling you right now, shut up." Dustin: " No, thank you." Dick: "Isn't it funny how I can be more honest than the people reading the Bible in the house." Jameka: "That's your salvation, not mine. It has nothing to do with you. And by the way, I say nothing about you-- It doesn't mean anything." Dick: "No, no, no. Because I say nothing about you not believing in Christ. I say nothing about you not believing in God." Later that night, Dick starts his campaign to insure that he's voted out instead of Daniele. While preparing something to eat, Amber and Jameka sit watching. Dick couldn't resist the opportunity to go on a verbal attack. "You hanging around me for a reason? You love my company? You love the fact I call you a hypocrite and I think your Christianity is a joke." This is where Dick attacked Amber for being a drug addicted mother, she fought back that at least she wasn't stoned when her daughter was born.

In the HoH room, Amber is crying and praying to God. "Oh, God, make me strong. You know, I know Dick says I'm a bad mom and stuff for doing drugs, but I'm not a bad mom. I'm a good mom. And I'm sorry I turned to drugs to help me, you know, to work harder and I depended on a drug to give me energy and stuff, but I regret it, and I really regret it. Make me be strong. Make me, um, you know, do better in competition, you know, especially, like, endurance. I'm not in shape, you know. I need to get some will power to you know, eat right, and work out and-- I don't know. I just-- I just need you to help me. I need you to. I need you to help me get through this week with Dick, you know. He's so mean."

Eric gets his America's player task, and it's to get Dustin put on the block. Soon after, Dustin is in the HT screaming at Dick, who's inside and can't hear him, "Washed up, deadbeat white-trash dad." Dustin goes on to say, "I hope he cries himself to sleep for the next six days and then walks his ass out the door. Go back to being a bartender for the rest of your life. White-trash hick. Oh, it feels good to get fired up, though. I'm sorry. I would tell Jessica put me up and have it be a 5-1 vote and watch that bitch cry about it later." Eric takes this information to Jessica that Dustin would like to be on the block with Dick and throws in some doubts about Dustin's loyalty, just to solidify the sales pitch.

Eric's next assignment is to give the silent treatment to a houseguest. Which guest should it be. [And if you're not thinking 'Jessica,' then you have no appreciation for the ridiculous.] Go to CBS.com to vote. See the Video

It's time for the food challenge. Jessica hosts: "Welcome to the Big Brother Memorial Coliseum. Are you ready to rock? This is a benefit concert, but it will only benefit one of our lucky bands. Hidden inside each one of these 200 guitars is one of two things -- a dollar sign or a slop sign. You will smash these guitars like the rock stars you are and hang the sign you find on your band's board. The first team to get to 20 dollar signs is a rock 'n' roll legend, and they will eat like the pampered, ego maniacs for the week. The losing team will eat like starving musicians, which means slop for the week. But the rock 'n' roll lifestyle is unpredictable. Inside one of these guitars you may even find a one-week slop pass. If you find it,put it around your neck. Who came to rock and who came to slop in the Big Brother Blues or the Red House Rockers?"

The object of the game was to one by one run down through the yard, grab any guitar, smash is over the speaker, and look for whatever card is in the guitar."

The red team with Dick, Jen, Daniele and Dustin lost. The blue team won and Amber believes it's because God directed her the correct guitars. Dick did win the slop pass but gave it to Jen who already spent two weeks on slop. See the Video

At the nomination ceremony Jameka's key was taken out first, followed by: Jen, Eric, Amber, Zach, and Dustin. See the Video

Meanwhile... In the kitchen, Eric tells Jessica and Dustin that he can't wait until tomorrow's PoV meeting to see what Dick does. Dustin says that he thinks Dick will save Daniele and be the father he never was before. Dustin's singing causes numerous FotHs.

Outside, Dick's with Daniele and Zach sitting on the couches.

Daniele says that Dustin said one night that if Carol doesn't think that the guys in the house are hot there must be some awful guys in Kansas and that Eric said, "You really don't think that between me you and Nick that there's a good looking group of guys in here."

Danielle says Dustin thinks very highly of himself. Daniele thinks Mike was extremely good looking and that obviously that she thinks Nick was good looking. Zack says he only gets the bronze medal in here.

Zack says he can't believe it's all shady now saying it’s so weird. Zack saying he's kind of stoked about it being 6:00. Danielle says she is and she isn't. She said she wished she would have awakened earlier. Zack is saying he was supposed to run for four miles. Zack saying he is going to jump back on the treadmill soon. Zack goes to check on his laundry. Dick returns from getting a drink.

Danielle says Zack barbecues like every day. Dick says he likes to barbecue in the summer. He wishes BB would have given them fresh corn. It's his favorite. Danielle asks if he likes white corn. Dick says yeah he does. he likes to mix the regular corn. He likes to mix white and yellow corn together.

Zack says Danielle is a used and abused person. Dick asks who is. Zack says his daughter. Zack says she's using him because he's hot. Zack says she's only using him because he's the only attractive guy left in the house. Dick says she has Eric to pick from. Danielle is saying Eric thinks he's the only hot guy left. Dick is saying Eric's playing the ogre in him. Danielle is saying she's scared of him and doesn't know if she can be left alone with him.

Danielle is saying the next HoH better not be a knock out game like last week and the Eliminator because she will be the first one out. Danielle is saying it better not be because it was like that last week. Dick says it was like that because you’re pairing people up against each other and one of them is going. Read more

7:00PM BBT: Zach Daniele and Dick in are BY on couches, trying to play games. They start with state capitals. Dick misses the 2nd one - capital of Texas. They switch to countries. Daniele can't think of an "E" and finally says "England." Zach gets stuck on "G" - finally says "Guam." Now they debate if Mongolia is a country. Now Dick is stuck again on O. Daniele says Omaha (I think that is a city Daniele not a country). No one can think of a country with "O" so they pass it.

7:15PM BBT: Zach's in the gym on the treadmill with Amber. Later, Jameka joins them.

8:00PM BBT: Dustin, Eric, Jameka and Jessica are in the HT. Zach's talking with them. Still, it's an hour without anything worth reporting. Read more See the Video

Dick and Daniele are passing the time with more idle chit chat about the past and who they will talk to outside the house. Daniele will talk to Nick for sure, maybe Mike but not for too long as to all they talk about is food. Daniele still regrets her DR goodbye message to Kail because she was flippant at the time thinking Kail was safe and wouldn't see the video. Daniele feels guilty. Dick says her kids probably hate him because all he said to her. They talk about what they say during the live voting. Dick: "I vote to evict that weasel......" Daniele interrupts saying, "Shhhhhhhhh."

8:45PM BBT: The outside group, including Dick, are all laughing about what their shirts would say if they were stars. Jameka thinks her shirt would say, "Mmmmmmhummm..." Zach's would say "Unleash the Beast!" or "The Angry Inch." Eric's would say, "I'm Jewish." Amber's would say, "..And that's That." Mike's would say, "How did I get here?" Jessica's would say, "Booyah."

9:00PM BBT: Amber and Daniele sound like they've called a truce. Amber: "Do you feel better since our talk?" Daniele: "Oh, yeah I really do. Thank you." Daniele tells her how Nick gave Daniele his bandana so she could wear it during competitions as an homage to him. [And I'm sure Amber has no idea what "homage" means.] Amber says, "Oh that's so sweet..." Amber retreats to the HoH room to trash talk Daniele with Jessica and Jameka. On her way up to the HoH, Amber spots Eric outside. She tells Jessica that once everyone left Jen went over to talk to Eric. [Sounds like there's some distrust here that Eric might be aligning with Jen.]

9:05PM BBT: At the HT, Jen talks to Eric. Jen's pretty sure that when Dick uses the PoV, he’ll take himself off the block and Jen's going up in his place. Eric thinks if he doesn’t use it on her he is a horrible person. Jen tells him that she doesn’t stand a chance in the game with the rest of the house. Daniele has a better chance at this game than Dick. Eric tells her that she does have a chance and they need to talk. Jen also feels that if she goes up, she'll go out. Eric assures her that it won't go down that way. He tells her that Dick and Daniele made the wrong move too soon in the game and that there are times to make those strategic decisions in the game. Jen tells him that Dick said he would put him on the block but she wouldn’t. Eric tells her he is going to pick the right times to make his move and not alienate people who are not threats to him.

9:20PM BBT: "I am absolutely livid! Dick is officially stealing things from me. He took my arm tattoos, my king's robe, and he's been hoarding olives..." Dustin complains as he enters the HoH room. "How pathetic that he would steal things because he's so jealous of me." They think Dick will stay just to make them miserable. They also feel Daniele is cheating on the food restriction and Dustin says he's "Gonna bust the bitch out." Dustin tells Jessica, "Oh, yeah, if they use the PoV, don't put me up." Dustin thinks it could end up a tie vote. "So what, you know I'd vote to keep you..." Jessica says. Eric joins them. Amber and Jameka tell Jessica that they will go up on the block. They all agree they want Daniele gone because she is the better competitor Eric: "My personal take is that he's Dick and he's not going to give us the choice. He loves power and it is his one final chance for him to control something and it's his way of saying he's not going to let you do what you want to do or I'm going to tell you what you have to do... " Jessica: "Well there's no use of fighting or like thinking or talking about what he might do, on how what I should do if he takes Daniele off then I have to put someone else up, if he takes himself off, then another person has to go up." Amber: "Put me or Jameka up."

Outside, Dick, Zach and Daniele are playing Frisbee, and Dick notices that everyone's gone and says there's probably a meeting in the HoH room.

After a 20 minute pow-wow in the HoH, Zach rushes up to the HoH to see what he's missing and causes the meeting to end. Zach wants to set another game of beer pong.

10:15PM BBT: Dustin admits that he's afraid that if he goes up he doesn't trust Eric's vote. It's not just that he thinks he could be evicted, but he tells Amber that he thinks one reason he's in the house is to work on his arrogance, and he'd go up on the block if it was for the group, nut he feels it would just be an act of arrogance. The Dustin says, "If it's against Dick he doesn't have a problem but if it's against Daniele I don't know if I'd have the votes." Amber says he needs to talk to Jessica because he already agreed to it.

Amber believes that Dick will not use it because Daniele told her "I'm not going around campaigning.." and Amber believes that she was subliminally telling her they weren't using the PoV. "Why would she say that?" Amber asks.

Dustin says, "I'm not saying I don't trust Eric in this group," but he sees Eric thinking that he's his biggest competition. Amber says if the vote came back 4-2 and one of them said "I would fuckin' die." Amber doesn't trust Jen at all because Jen spent the whole day with them and then spent hours talking to Daniele last night.

Dustin to Jameka: "Do you trust Eric's vote?" Jameka says she gave up five HoH competitions and she would hope some "loyalty is a brewing." Amber thinks Eric should go up and Dustin agrees. Dustin says Eric's always talking game and "always saying things about somebody else."

10:30PM BBT: Downstairs, the beer pong game is in progress. In the HoH room, Jameka is working on her hair. Dustin says he's not trying to cause anything about his backing out saying "I was egocentric." Dustin tries to explain how "cocky" he's become and is talking about people. Jameka: "I've noticed that."

Amber: "I'm telling you right now they are leaving the nominations the same." Amber refers to her premonition of winning something with Dick still present and watching her. Amber sees that as a "good sign" for next week.

Dustin asks if Jameka is a home owner and she says "yes." Dustin: "That's so amazing." Jameka: "I have a townhouse." Amber: "Doesn't that blow you away. I can't even imagine."

They talk about one of the DR BB people being overweight, saying that they have a "certain sound in their voice." They ask for Jameka's opinion, her saying "I'm not going to go there." Dustin said he said to him "You don't sound chubby."

Amber: "I'm so glad you're gay" because to her he's hot.....Dustin: "Thank you Amber." Amber: "I can't believe he took your robe." Dustin: "I know-- Cheap shot. He's lucky they weren't my personal items or I would have reported and saw to it that he forfeits his stipend."

When Dustin told them in the DR about their concern that Dick blew his nose on their towels, the DR person said it's "a housemate issue." They talk about Zach being lonely and creepy and how "no one can connect at his level."

Amber says she gets nauseous and feels uncomfortable when she goes downstairs and has to see Dick. Dustin says that's what he wants.

Dustin: "Jameka, I can't believe you own a house. You should be proud of yourself." Jameka: "hmmm mmm."
