Big Brother 8 Daily Coverage

Note: This has been the most boring week in the house so far. There wasn’t any real strategy talk early this morning. Unless by some huge late minute campaigning it’s pretty much a given that Jessica will be the one to walk out the door tonight. Eric will be mad and it will be Eric, Daniele and Dick competing in the competitions tonight. Today will be just as boring with cleaning and primping for the show.

Meanwhile... While Dick and Daniele discussed the competition and what it may be, Jessica and Eric chitchatted as usual till early hours of the morning and were involved in a rather passionate round, with his roaming hands evoking an eventual "stop it" from Jessica. Eric suddenly had to go to BR and his microphone remained on the quad feed. From the sounds of him and the toilet paper roll, I'd say he has a bad stomach tonight. Not to mention that it took a good minute to downshift before he could do anything else. Once Eric returns, they revert to their trivial chatter.

5:30AM BBT: Dick wakes up and asks what time it is and asks if it's still a LD outside. Eric goes to use the bathroom, but waits since Dick is using it first. Dick's outside smoking, and Eric and Jessica are in bed whispering. They're going over the BB sayings, thinking they might be useful. Eric thinks that info is useless; Jessica thinks it might be a tiebreaker question.

9:30AM BBT: Everyone is sleeping in the BB house. After a brief FotH, all four feeds are on the HoH and everyone is in the room sleeping with the lights out. 11:25AM BBT: Still al sleeping in the HoH room. We had FotH for the longest time. When feeds came back we saw the DR hallway them back to FotH. 1:10AM BBT: Feeds are back again, Dick is talking about making sure Eric uses Windex as if they are streaky, they'll be made to clean them again. Dick is mopping the kitchen floor. Jessica and Eric are helping Jameka clean the bathroom, Jameka is cleaning the shower and Jessica is cleaning the toilet and Eric is doing the sink area.

3:00PM BBT: Over the last two hours it's been mostly FotH. There were a couple breaks where we got glimpses of the HGs housecleaning.

"Ouch, the balls are hitting me in the face." Daniele whines.

Zach is victorious at grabbing balls and wins the PoV.

Tonight's Broadcast: Julie Chen, wearing a sleek black ensemble with white trim, explains tonight's special show: "It's day 69 and the houseguests don't know it yet but they are in for a tumultuous night. It's Big Brother Fast Forward. In the next hour we will play a full week's game and two houseguests will be evicted. That's right, tonight either Jessica or Jameka will be sent packing. A new head of household will be crowned, and that HoH must nominate two house mates for eviction. Then the power of veto competition will be played and one more houseguest will be walking out the front door. And all this will unfold live. Plus even though this is live, America's Player is still working for you. Get your cell phones ready because in this next hour you will be able to tell Eric what to do."

Eric goes to the DR and discovers that America has selected Jameka as the HG Eric should evict. Eric was very relieved. With that, Eric goes to Daniele for reassurance that Jameka is being evicted. Dick and Daniele voted to evict Jessica. Jessica was evicted, and Eric, was calm, and didn't throw any fits against the Donatos, it was all very civilized. See the Video

When Jessica got over to Julie Chen's studio, she got to hear her goodbye messages, and the most tearful, sincere message of the season was, of course Eric's: "I don't think you know how much I need you here and how much I want you here. I am going to be a maniac for as long as I stay fighting for your honor, Jessica. I love you."

"So let's go to the backyard and find out who will be the next HoH. Houseguests, the power is up for grabs. Zach, you are not eligible to compete and Jameka you gave up to compete for HoH for five weeks and this is week number five. Houseguests, tonight's game is called before or after. You are standing in the middle of three stairs. I will name two events that occurred this summer. You must decide which became -- which came before and which came after the other. You will step back to select before, or step forward to select after. There will be eight questions. The house guests with the highest number of correct answers will be the new head of household. Is everyone ready?" Question one: "Did Jen cry over her memory wall picture before or after Amber cried over her first eviction nomination?" The correct answer is before, everyone got it right. Question two: "Did Amber handcuff herself to Kail before or after Joe tasted an anchovy and cabbage pie?" Correct answer is after, they all got it right. Question three: "Did Jameka say during a veto ceremony, I actually want my actions to be and with my words, before or after Nick shaved his head?" The correct answer is before. Dick and Eric got it wrong, Daniele, took the lead with three points. Question four: "Did I ask Dustin a viewer question about his great t-shirt before or after I asked Jameka whether she would still give up the five HoH competitions if she could go back and do it again?" The correct answer is after. Dick and Eric, both got it right. Daniele, got it wrong, so the score is tied at three a piece.

Question five: "Did Jen say during a nomination ceremony that the house would be a happier place without negative vibes before or after she wore a red unitard?" The correct answer is before. Dick, got it wrong, Eric and Daniele got it right. Question six: "Next, did Amber and Dustin win lobster tails for the house before or after Zach went streaking across the backyard to the pool?" The correct answer is before. Dick and Eric both got it right. Daniele, got it wrong. Eric, is in the lead with five. Question seven: "Did Jen win her second power of veto before or after the houseguest witnessed a plane flying a banner over the backyard?" The correct answer is after. Dick and Daniele got it right, Eric got it wrong. Question eight: "During the veto meeting, did Amber say, my journey has been an amazing journey, before or after she said, obviously, no one wants to be up in this chair, it's a crappy feeling?" The correct answer is before. "Congratulations, Dick, you are the only one who got it right, which means you are the new head of household." See the Video

"America, you want Eric to get Daniele nominated. As promised, I'm going to inform him by asking Daniele to lead everyone back into the house. All right, Daniele, please lead everyone back inside. Nominations will be happening in just a few minutes. Everyone to the living room." See the Video

Dick nominated Jameka and Eric. The PoV contest was next. "This competition is called Niagara balls. Moments from now the floodgates will open and more than 5,000 rubber balls will pour down on you. You must collect only the green balls and take them in your clear tube. The first houseguest to fill their tube with eight green balls and press the button on their podium wins the power of veto. Is everyone ready?" So, just as described, all these different color balls poured down on them and they scrambled to find the green ones. Julie told Jameka she was disqualified for putting a blue ball in her tube. Jameka said she didn't put the ball in the tube, it bounced there and to check the tape, but it never became an issue because moments later Zach had won the PoV. [After checking the tape, it was verified that God put the blue ball in the tube.] See the Video

At the PoV meeting Zach did not use the PoV. Next the HGs voted live, but first, each nominee got a chance to plead their cases, Jameka went first: "I would like to say that being on the block this many times is not fun, it's not something I'm enjoying. But at the same time it is how this game works. And I understand that. I want you to not only vote in terms it of who is going to be the person who will further advance you in this game, but also keep in to consideration that I have kept my word, I'm a woman of my word and I still stand by that. So thank you." Eric spoke next: "Obviously I'm disappointed and surprised to be in this position right now. All I can say to the three of you, the power is in your hands. If you actually run through your collective minds right now, will you see that I've been good to the three of new this game. Any word I have given you, I have stuck to. I had the opportunity to eliminate all three of new this game and I chose not to because I did believe in what you were saying to me. Obviously to some degree, that trust was breached earlier this evening. But I have been good to you, be good to me. Give me a fair chance." See the Video

The HGs went to the DR to vote, Zach voted to evict Eric, so did Daniele. Julie gave the news to Eric, "In a vote of two to zero, Eric you have been evicted." Eric, still maintained his composure and left with his dignity intact. See the Video

Julie: "Well, Eric, for seven years now you have been dying to go in the Big Brother house. How difficult is this moment for you?" Eric: "Actually I'm really at peace with it, Julie. I feel like I played the best game I could possibly play under the circumstances. I had obstacles that nobody else had to deal with in this house. I am not surprised about what happened. And the people who did it to me would have been long gone if the decisions were in my hands." Julie: "The circumstances you speak of as being America's Player--" Eric: "Yes, indeed." Julie: "What was the toughest part of being America's Player?" Eric: "Well, you know it was very difficult to balance my personal goals in this game with America's goals. I embraced what America was doing it was a great honor to be selected as America's player. At the same time, things would have unfolded very differently in this house if I had my complete say in the matter." Julie: "Really, like how so?" Eric: "Well, Dustin and Amber would still be here, Dick and Daniele and Zach would be long gone. I mean it's the way it is. It was my job to honor America's wishes. Unfortunately for myself, I did a great job in doing it. And they were pulling for the people that sent me out of this house. I fought hard to see that I got the people evicted America wanted evicted. I succeeded almost every time. They weren't necessarily the people I wanted to see go. But that was the position I was in and I wanted to do it for the fans." Julie: "You said going into the house, the last thing you wanted was a showmance, so was it real with Jessica?" Eric: "It wasn't a showmance it was genuine, honest feelings it was in no way part of strategy whatsoever. It was a greatly pleasant surprise and something wonderful I found in this house that I never expected." Julie: "But did you feel that that got in the way of you playing the game?" Eric: "Absolutely not, absolutely not. She was a perfect partner, tried and true. I'm just sad that my role as America's Player may have compromised her position in this house as well as being my ally" Julie: "As you know, for every three America's player tasks that you successfully completed, you earned $10,000. And right now you are leaving the big brother house with $40,000. So congratulations on that." Eric: "Thank you very much." Julie: But now have one more task, you have to show back up here on September 18th and help determine the winner. But for now, are you off to the jury house. "

Julie: "Dick, Daniele, Jameka and Zach are the final four. 12 days from now one of them will walk out of the house the winner of Big Brother and with a half million dollar grand prize. On Sunday, at 8:00, 7 central, tune in to find out who will be the new head of household. And who they will nominate for eviction. On Tuesday at 9:00, 8:00 central, I will be back for a special live show featuring a veto meeting and then a vote and eviction. Then one week from tonight at 8:00, 70 clock central, tune in for another live show when the final HOH is crowned and single-handedly evicts someone, therefore choosing who will sit next to them in the final two.

It's been FotH since the live broadcast ended at 6:00PM BBT. We expect the feeds to resume at 9:00PM BBT in time for Showtime's Big Brother After Dark broadcast.

9:00PM BBT: The feeds return to show Zach wearing a crown and robe with everyone congratulating him, Zach won HoH! See the Video

What a gloomy house... Jameka is laying on the living room couch looking like someone died, and Dick is in the bedroom consoling Daniele who is whining about her defeat in the HoH challenge. )Daniele is crying, Dick says it's OK; she did a great job; he's so proud of her. She and Zach appear to have been in a tiebreaker. Daniele whines that BB did not give them enough time. "People just win by guesses in this stupid house. It makes me mad." Dick comments that nominations are tomorrow, POV on Saturday." (They probably don't know Tuesday's show is live.) Around them Eric's things, yet to be packed. See the Video

9:30PM BBT: The SR is stocked. Daniele is in the gym on the treadmill, alone. She gets three warnings to "Please put on your microphone." And she replies, "Oh my God, I'm not talking."

Dick tells Jameka he doesn't like Fast Forwards, "You know I'm the oldest HG to ever make it this far in BB history?" Dick shares with Jameka his versions of all the things that have gone down to bring them to this point in the game. Jameka asks why he they decided to evict Amber. "Well, she was always running around starting fires. You could see her just run from place to place getting this stirred up. Then, she was starting to get close to winning things. She came in second in the last two HoHs. And then she got on this thing about wanting 'the good people' to win. Since when are we bad people?" Dick asks. "Well, I'm not sayin' anything 'bout that." Jameka replies quietly.

They continue reviewing and pondering, "So what do you make of Eric and Jessica? You think that's real?" Jameka asks, and Dick says, "Oh for sure that's bullshit. She from Kansas, he's from New York. She's not goin' to New York and Eric's not moving to Kansas. She's not calling him." Jameka is surprised, and asks, "You think she was playing him? "Oh sure, look at him, that's got to be the hottest girl he ever got to lay in bed and cuddle with." Dick answers.

10:00PM BBT: The LD is over and Dick is already outside spitting up a storm. Daniele finally put her mic on after five requests. Jameka is in the kitchen washing her dishes in a sink full of ants.

On the patio Daniele is not taking her loss well. Daniele lost on a math question that she says she knew the number to, but was still working out the math when BB rushed them asking for an answer right away. Zach won by getting the question right, but he guessed at the answer. "You know as much as I like Zach, even though he gets on my nerves at times, I didn't come this far to lose to a floater. I mean he hasn't even played the game." Dick says he understands, and Daniele whines, "No you don't understand." Dick says, "No, I do, really..." This exchange is repeated about a dozen times, each time Daniele whines it out a little longer. "If I get called to the DR, I'm not going." Moments later Bb calls her and she refuses to go. Dick offers to go in her place, but they ask for Daniele again. "OK, I'll go but I'm not answering any questions. I'm just going to sit there."

10:30PM BBT: Zach's been asked to pack up Eric's stuff. Jameka and Dick offer to help. Zach teases Dick, "Fourteen consecutive nights in the HoH room, that beats Kail." "Fuck you!" Dick snaps back, "I didn't get anything, no letter, no nothing." Zach rubs it in a little more, "Oh yeah, and my laundry's back ."

10:40PM BBT: In the SR, Jameka asks Zach something that we couldn't hear, followed by, "'Cause you know they'll vote you out as soon as they can." Zach answers, "Oh yeah, I know that."

10:45PM BBT: Dick's on the patio reveling in the fact they made it to final four, "How's that Vincent?" he calls out to his son at home.

10:55PM BBT: Zach tells Dick and Jameka that he thinks Nick, "He did the mustard thing." Dick agrees even though he says "I got blamed for it" saying he would have done it "in front of her face."

Dick is reminiscing about coming in the house and wanting to tell everyone that Joe gave him gonorrhea but BB didn't want to spoil that Dustin was his rival. Zach asks if it's like this every season where there are "pretty peculiar people in this place."

"What an insane day!" Dick says, boasting that he evicted both Eric and Jessica. Zach says Eric is "a weasel" that could sell you a boat if you wanted a car. Jameka calls Eric "schiesty."

Zach to Dick: "Why aren't you drinking?" Dick agrees to a beer, since Zach is on beer number three. Dick says he likes Eric and hope he's not bitter. Zach says when Eric said before the votes, "Give me a chance to play..." "Well its too late and should have earlier...." Zach said.

11:15PM BBT: Jameka goes to get her comforter and Dick congratulates Zach and talk turns to the balls from PoV and Eric shoving and Jameka says loudly that she just dove for the green ball. Zach says he pushed back Eric after he got pushed by him and "popped in the lip." Zach says there were a lot of green balls that were just laying on the ground.

Daniele comes out of the DR and Zach called in again to get his HoH key. "I hope there's pictures of when Zach was fat," Daniele says ..and Jameka wonders if he was really fat. Daniele says she going to eat all Zach's HoH food.

[Trying to be unbiased and neutral here, but Daniele is hitting a new low with her pouting and cranky attitude tonight. She is mad at herself and the world because she lost the HoH competition. She's whining like it's her job and it's very difficult for even a 'Daniele fan' to listen to. I am not trying to editorialize, I am just describing the scene, as I see it. -Morty]

Daniele: "It's gonna be a long week." She knows there's nominations tomorrow and Dick hopes they get an America's Choice reward this week, he says, "they never gone without an AC." He pleads, "Even if you just gave us cards..."

11:30PM BBT: Zach is getting his HoH room and everyone heads upstairs. "Alright and then there were four, " Zach says as they go inside and look at his pictures when he was pretty young, 17 he said. There were also pictures from his 10 year high school reunion. Zach got a blanket from his Grandma. Jameka looks at his pictures and tells him how cute he was. There's more Twizzlers, and a letter from his folks. Everyone congratulates him, and Daniele says, "Congrats bring down your snacks."

11:40PM BBT: Zach reads his letter from home and says, "Wow." he gets teary eyed and continues, "that's cool. Oh man." Zach says to himself, "I never would have thought."

Downstairs, Daniele complains about people leaving the turkey open. She blames Zach then Dick when in fact it was Jameka. They got beer and wine.

Before Zach leaves his HoH room, he pumps his fist and says "screw you guys!" He takes deep breaths "YES," and heads out downstairs.

Daniele asks how the letter was and Zach said "It almost made me cry. "

11:50PM BBT: Daniele didn't want any of the wine that Jameka offered her, Daniele is filling up on cookies while the guys say "we fill up on beers."

Zach asks what they would do with money and says he would send his kids to college and tells Daniele "Don't roll your eyes at me, that's important." Daniele jokingly says "Buy Nick a monkey"
