Big Brother 8 Daily Coverage

Wow, what a week. Yesterday Daniele won PoV and that gives her the sole vote on Tuesday's live show that will evict Jameka and leave Daniele, Dick, and Zach your final three. This will also signal the beginning of the three part HoH contest. We believe that this will be the same as in previous seasons: All three will compete in an endurance competition that involves holding on to their key during some kind of adverse situation (during the second season, the adverse situation was being in bed with Dr. Will). The winner of that challenge then competes in the third round. The second round is played by the two that didn't win in the first round. This contest is usual complex, and takes several hours to complete. The winner of the first round, and the winner of the second round then compete on Thursday's live show in a simple Q & A contest. The winner of the contest is the final HoH and gets the honor of selecting who they will take to the jury with them. This year when the jury votes, Eric's vote will be determined by an America's Player poll.

In the mean time, the final three have a couple days to plead their cases to one juror, and that's Jameka, as there is no doubt that Daniele will vote to keep her father in the game.

Dick feels that it is a forgone conclusion that even if Daniele or himself do not win HoH next week, that whichever Donato Zach would take to the jury will win first place, because the jury would never award Zach the $500,000 after Zach was carried to the finals by Dick and Daniele [Dick's opinion]. Dick might be underestimating the jury's dislike for him. [Morty's opinion.]

So whatever happens, today will be a day of rest for the final four, and for Jem and I. We're taking some time off today. This season we've had a guest blogger, DumBlonde, has given us a couple days off. Jem and I will cover the late night and early AM, at which point we'll post the link to today's Blog. After Midnight... BB gave Dick a CD player to listen to his Motley Crew CD. When Dick listens Dick rocks out like he's on stage. He puts so much energy into playing air-guitar and drums that he works up a sweat. After his musical workout, Dick changes his shirt. He asks Jameka if Daniele's in bed, and she replies with her patented, "Hmmmm mmmm." Dick goes back to the patio for more smoking and spitting.

Dick gives listeners a expletive filled tirade against Zach, "Relax and enjoy the rest of this week, but next week shit goes down.... One to go. Zach you're it. One person standing in the way." He calls Zach a tool and says, "Fuck you, we've come to far to let him stand in the way."

Jameka got some kind of plate decorating kit. She drew the BB logo on it and put all the HG's names. Dick teased her for still, after all this time, she won't call him "Dick," and put ED on the plate.

Zach and Daniele are in bed, Dick is doing laundry looking for towels saying, I'm too excited to sleep, " and asks "are there any towels in the little room."

Daniele is back up...

12:50AM BBT: Daniele watching Jameka do her art project, Dick outside ranting to himself about Zach and almost having BB8 wrapped up...

2:00AM BBT: Dick and Daniele have been in the BY chatting for quite awhile. Daniele said that Jen and Zach shouldn't be on the jury, and that Kail and Nick should be. She said Kail should have stayed another week. They've done light bashing of quite a few HGs.

Jameka moved her blanket to Amber's bed, there's no sign of Zach. Dick keeps telling Daniele that even if Zach makes it to the final HoH challenge, he'll never win. For the second time in about 30 mins, Daniele tells him not to be overconfident. She says that's what ruins people. Daniele says that Jameka only knew weird stuff, like how many ribbons were in the house and different things she shouldn't be counting. That's why she didn't do well in the PoV, because she wasn't studying the important stuff.

Daniele says they have only a week left and how weird it will be when they get out. They joke that if they'll have to wear a blindfold and not be allowed to talk to certain people. Daniele says they'll get to say the name Cynthia, and they start commenting on her, which is shortly followed by a FotH.

Jameka's now in bed with the lights off, reading her Bible with a flashlight. Dick wonders if Eric ever told anyone that Dick and Daniele were aligned. He says that Eric knew from early on. Daniele says that wasn't something that had to be asked. They're now going over what the second HoH competition will be. Dick thinks it will be something like the Janelle-A-Vision. Daniele says last year, they had to match the mirrors with the lights, and Boogie beat Janelle by a lot and how he didn't even have them all right at first and had to go back. Dick says Boogie must have been really nervous to go up against Janelle. Dick says they should win both the HoHs and have fun with the questions. Daniele say's she'll win the questions. She says that it will be nice to win the first two and not have a lot of tension for the third one.

By 2:45AM everyone was in bed, not sleeping, too excited. but there's nothing else to report.

2:25PM BBT: The MOST exciting thing happened just after dumblonde signed off for the day! Zach and Jameka were in the gym and we hear this loud crunching sound and Jameka says she broke the elliptical machine. She was mad because she hadn’t reached her goal. She kept telling BB she was sorry and wondered if she would still get her stipend. Zach tells her, "That's funny, I've never seen that happen in my life." Jameka says, "I broke it". Zach answers, "Well now they'll have to replace it because it is a piece of shit!"

Meanwhile… Daniele is eating at the dining room table and Dick is sleeping in the round room with the lights out. [These people are so boring I feel like gouging out my eyes - Jem]

3:45PM BBT: Daniele is in the gym. Dick is in the BY smoking. Jameka is doing crafts in the kitchen and Zach, well I can't see him.

4:00PM BBT: BB, just announced "Mike," and Jameka and Dick in kitchen both look up and Dick says "Mike?" and laughs. Daniele was in the bathroom and comes around the corner laughing about and made some comment about it would be funny if they said "Carol," then they announce "Daniele, please put your microphone on." Dick asks her what her problem is, "That's like the fifth time," Daniele says " What, I was running." and then goes into the gym, but just before she shuts the door she yells out, "Maybe they'll evict me."

Daniele is still on the treadmill; Dick goes in the gym to ask Daniele if she had her mic, she didn't answer him she started running; Jameka still painting, and Dick goes in the kitchen and is putting dishes away

Jameka still at her painting. Dick and Daniele outside, she made some comment about Zach saying how he just got picked four days before and they worked so hard to get in there and she is so sick of it. Dick tells her she will do great at the next competitions, she always has, it will be the same stuff just fancier. Dick has a horrible cough, he's telling her it will be OK because Zach is an idiot and doesn't know anything, he only got one right yesterday.

Zach just came downstairs, made a comment how Jameka has been at it for hours (painting)... he is just looking at it... he is going outside now... Daniele rolled her eyes and Dick said "uuukk". not one word being said. Not sure what Zach is doing, it looks like he is trying to put some gloves on, he stops in the middle of the yard then goes inside, upstairs

Daniele sulks that she wasn't given enough time to add up the numbers. Zach's winning answer was a guess.

Tonight's Broadcast: From the DR, Daniele says they stuck to their agreement with Eric and Jessica until it was no longer in their best interest. But, in a later comment, she revealed that she has no sympathy for Eric, it's all strategic.

For the first time, we got to see Dick make his deal with Jameka that sent Jessica out the door. Jameka wasn't happy, but it was her only option. Dick made a final three deal with both Zach and Jameka.

After the PoV ceremony, Daniele hugs Jameka and says, "Don't worry, you're not going home this week." From the DR, Jameka says she never fully trusts anything Daniele or E.D. tells her.

After Eric was evicted, Dick just couldn't contain himself and can't stop showing his exuberance. Meanwhile, Zach went to bed. From the HoH room he sees Dick and Daniele on the spyscreen, and feels they're conspiring against him.

When the HGs got up the next day, there were 14 new pictures on the memory wall, of all of them participating in BB events.

The HoH contest, Dick hosts: "Welcome to picture this. You will be asked to answer a series of questions based on the photos that recently appeared on the memory wall. All the photos were from competitions in which we battled each other this season. If you answer correctly, you will take one step towards the top of the platform. If your answer is wrong, you will stay right where you are. The first person to answer seven questions correctly and stand at the top of the platform is the new head of household. This is a big one, so good luck, and Picture This! In the picture of, for those about to slop, how many black guitars are standing upright in their guitar stands? Everyone, reveal your answers." The correct answer was one. Zack, take one step forward. "Question two, how many houseguests are not wearing bunny suits in the picture of, 'Let's make a duel?' can you please reveal your answers." The correct answer was five, everyone got it right. "Question number three, in the picture of 'Name that Pie,' what was the blue team's score? Everyone please reveal your answers." The correct answer was six. Everyone take one step forward. And at this point we have Daniele with two, Jameka with two. And Zack with three correct answers. Question number four. In the picture of the competition known as 'Shot for Shot,' what color is Dustin's shirt?" The correct answer was blue. Danielle, Zack got it right. "Question number five, in the picture of 'Cutthroat Christmas,' how many houseguests were wearing sunglasses?" The correct answer was four. Danielle got it right. That brings the score, Jameka with two. Zack and Daniele with four. "Question number six: Who is wearing a bow tie in the picture of the competition, 'The Mad Hatter?'" The correct answer was Mike. Everyone got it right. "Question number seven, in the picture of 'The Humpty Scramble,' how many swirl mats can be seen reflected in the window?" The correct answer was two Everyone got it right. Which brings the score to Jameka with four. Danielle and Zach with six. "Question number eight, are there any rats in the cage in the picture of 'Cat Scratch,' veto?" The correct answer was "no." Both Danielle and Zach have reached the top with seven answered correctly. "There will be a tie breaker question to determine who is the next head of household. Jameka, you can step down now. Thank you. OK, for the tie breaker question, it will be a number answer, the closest number to the correct answer without going over will be the winner. Good luck to both of you. What was the total number of houseguests in the 14 competition pictures on the memory wall?" Daniele wrote down 58, Zach wrote down 59. And the correct number is, 69.

"Good job. Very good Zack, are you the new head of household." Daniele took her loss very hard and went into the pouty mode.

Zach got his HoH room, and soon after invited Jameka up for a talk: "I was just thinking. I have been playing this game personally alone the entire time I walked through. And that's what kind of puts you and I in a position to where I think we can make a difference. Get you a little further, get me further." Jameka: "Uh-huh." Zach: "It just comes down to the bottom line. We will not be selected in the final three." Zach cuts to the chase, "I want to put both of them up. Without a doubt." Jameka: "Uh-huh." Zach: "I want you to play your ass off for PoV. I hope to God you win. I hope to God you can vote. And I hope you vote Daniele out."

The Donatos didn't think they were in much trouble, as they had a deal with Zach, and Zach wouldn't have been there without them. Zach, feels differently, and wants to play the game on his own terms. Before the nominations, Daniele talks to Zach, and Daniele learns that they're not as secure as they thought. Dick also talks to Zach, and is once again amazed at Zach's point of view on things. Afterwards Dick tells Daniele, "This guy is so stupid. He couldn't figure out how to get his underwear on if his mommy didn't help him in the morning."

At the nomination ceremony, Zach said: "This is the final nomination ceremony. We are here competing for half a million dollars. That is no joke. Nothing to joke about. You know, some people are here to make relationships, have friendships, whatever. I was here to play a game. I came here to play. I started stepping up my game in the end. I'm still playing. I'm still here. I'm grateful for where I am. I feel like I did it on my own. I really never had any confirmation from anybody this in this game that I had friends. I hate having to be in this position, seriously, to really pick two of the closest friends that I have here in this house, as well as somebody that has restored my faith with God. Which is huge to me." Zach removes the only key from the box, "Jameka, you are safe." Jameka, "Thanks, Zach." Daniele: "Thank you, Zach, We wouldn't have it any other way. On the block twice, and one more time." Zach: "Third time is a charm. Didn't work for the first two HoHs. And we're planning on it not working from you as well. I expected that. I nominated you Dick and you Daniele for eviction, Dick, Daniele you both rule in this game. Your tactics are awful. I don't like them. But they work. And they were incredible. Daniele, I think you've won six things in this competition. It's impossible to win against you. Probably impossible to win against you. I probably can't win." Daniele: "You will find out tomorrow." Zach: "But to be honest, either way I look at it, I would rather at least give her a fighting chance in this game and level the playing field because you two dominated this game. And that is so unfair, at least " Daniele: "That's unfair?" Zach: "Nobody has the stones to truly try and muscle you guys out. Well, I'm the muscle and I'm going to try to muscle you out." Dick: "OK, do it, brother." Zach: "I'm going it to try. Good luck tomorrow. And all I have to say is either way, if she doesn't make it, and you guys both do go to the final three, well, you got your wish. We're here and neither of you guys were going to take me to the final two anyway." Daniele: "Oh, yeah?" Zach: "So either way, you've got it. So. This meeting is adjourned."

7:00PM BBT: While I watched the TV show and wrote up the re-cap, nothing happened in the BB house, and jessica4life, one of our reporters, has documented it all: Read more. It's just routine conversation, Dick's many shout-outs to Vincent, and a request for him to take care of Dick's MySpace Page. I know I posted all this junk early in the season, but this is Daniele's MySpace Page, and Vincent's MySpace Page, and of course, Nick's MySpace.

7:10PM BBT: Dick requested a wake up song, Crazy Bitch by Buck Cherry. He goes to the bathroom and asks Jameka if she told Zach that the endurance competition was going to be holding their breath, Jameka says, "No", Dick said I requested they make Zach hold his breath and the rest of us would do the real competition. Daniele: "Jameka told me that Dustin said that Kail had a tummy tuck." Dick: "Why would Kail tell Dustin that?" Daniele: "No she didn't tell him that he said that he could tell she had one." Dick: "How could he tell, Kail wouldn't admit that, Jen didn't admit she had a boob job." Daniele: "Well Jen is an idiot." Dick burning something he is cooking while having this conversation Daniele has the hiccups... again Both Dick and Daniele in the kitchen making chicken cutlets Jameka still doing her hair.

7:30PM BBT: Dick: "The table is set all ready."
Daniele: "No arts and crafts?"
Dick: "No not yet its not Showtime."

They talk about how Eric was lucky to only have been on slop a couple days. Dick: "He was so lucky... unbelievably lucky. No, no, no, he was loosing his shit there buddy."
Daniele: "He is crazy..."
Daniele: "By the time were out of here... its almost Halloween."
Dick now talking about Mike Vick being busted. Daniele was trying to figure out what Drew Carey talking about and why Vick is famous. Dick tells her he's a quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons
Zach enters and joins in on the conversation about Vick.

Dick: "JAMEKA!!!!!... Dinner is ready!"
Daniele: "This table is so small I hate it."

7:40PM BBT: Zach, Dick and Daniele are eating dinner, Jameka is in the gym still working on her hair.

All the game talk is over now, and the conversation is about music.
Dick: "You get a lot of hippies playing the harp."
Daniele: "I bet."

Jameka joins the dinner table.

Dick: "I bet you're always late at work.."
Jameka: "Why are you saying such thing?"
Dick: "Because you were always the last one out when they called a LD."
Jameka says she was never late for work.

Zach: "You think you can get marry again?"
Dick: "I dunno.."
Jameka: "Maybe to Janelle.. hmmhh"

8:00PM BBT: Daniele and Dick BY. Zach and Jameka kitchen.

Daniele and Dick talking about Zach.

Daniele: "It's cold out here"
Dick: "Yeah it is."

BB: "Daniele please go to the DR."

Daniele: "Ahhh shut up please call someone else" FotH
Daniele went to the DR.
Dick now outside alone. Zach dishwashing and Jameka Helping him.

Zach: "Your folks lived with the same area as you?"
Jameka: "Oh no.. they are just in another town."
Zach: "So you see your folks everyday?"
Jameka: "Yeah I see them most the time... "
Zach: "The one thing I missed about living here is missing my folks."

Zach: "We got them a webcam... so every Sunday, well it hasn't happen yet because they don't know yet, but they can see me."
Jameka: "How much are those webcams?"
Zach: "Oh cheap very cheap 20 bucks."
Jameka: "Oh really..."
Zach: "It depends... if you want the one with mic and stuff... but I just use the phone."

Daniele now back from her DR. Joins Dick outside.

Dick: "You don't wanna listen to my CD?"
Daniele: "No thank you.. yeah."

Dick and Daniele talking about Eric situation with Jessica. Dick still thinks she and Eric never had a real kiss and that was just a peck when she left. Dick thinks Eric played Jessica.

Daniele: "Nick hated her.... she the one who gets drunk and gets whatever guy."

8:30PM BBT: Daniele: "You know, as much as we fought in the beginning-- I'm glad we were on the same side. Because if I had to put up with you, I would have asked for a voluntary exit."
Dick: "Really?"
Daniele: "Like the way you treated Jen-- Like if that was me and you dumped tea on my head...."

8:50PM BBT: BB sends them outside for LD while they fix a light. It was real short.
9:35PM BBT: Dick is in the pool alone. Jameka is sleeping, Zach is sleeping. Daniele is in the bathroom doing her hair.
10:00PM BBT: Two feeds are on Daniele in the shower and two feeds on Dick in the HT.

10:40PM BBT: Jameka wakes up and says good morning to Dick and Daniele, she was very disappointed when Daniele told her the time. "That's it? Oh, I thought sleep a few hours..." "Don't you hate it when that happens Daniele commiserates.
