Big Brother 8 Daily Coverage

Last Night : While Amber and Daniele were out of the house on their "mystery trip," all hell broke loose in the Big Brother house when Jen took Dick's cigarettes, crushed them, and poured bleach on them in the SR. Then, Jen goes to the kitchen and makes herself a turkey burger, which she eats followed by an apple, a half pint of cottage cheese, a cucumber and another turkey burger. This is shocking, because Jen is on the slop diet. Jen's behavior earned her the first ever penalty nomination in US BB history. Next week, Jen will be on the block with the two nominees selected by the HoH. Jen will not be able to compete in the PoV, and no one will be allowed to use the PoV to take her off the block. The alliance of Jessica, Eric, Dick and Daniele figure this is a perfect excuse to evict Jameka this week, and as much as Dick hates to have her around for another week, they are planning to evict Jen next week.

A New Plan: While sitting on the patio, Dick and Zach came up with a plan. Because Jen will be on the block next week, and since it's a forgone conclusion that everyone will vote to evict Jen [as Dustin was sure that everyone who vote to evict Dick], they think they should throw the HoH contest to Amber. Why Amber? If Amber wins HoH, then the next week she won't be eligible to compete in that HoH contest. This virtually secures Jessica, Eric, Zach, Dick and Daniele as the final five. Dick is exuberant over this new plan. Dick goes inside to use the bathroom and Zach, alone, says out loud, "It wasn't your idea, it was mine. You think you came up with it all on your own. You think you're in charge, but you're not. I will take you to the end, then I will kick your ass." It was kind of spooky

Meanwhile… Eric and Jessica are making plans of their own. They want to get rid of either Dick or Daniele next week, but in a way that they won't get blood on their hands. [If I was Eric, I'd want to be in the final two with either Dick or Daniele. They're both so hated, it would improve my odds of winning. If Eric goes to the end with Jessica, he'll have to marry her to get his hands on the money. -Morty]

6:40AM BBT: They're all sleeping. Dick is in the HoH and Jen is alone in the round room. Eric and Jessica are in a small bed each and Jameka is in the background.

7:55AM BBT: Still sleeping. 9:30AM BBT: Dick requests "Crazy Bitch" by Buck Cherry for today's wake up song... He’s the only one up, in the kitchen, preparing food and talking to himself. He keeps giggling over the events of the last 12 hours and he expects another fun filled day in the BB house... says, “This is awesome...” 10:00AM BBT: Dick is still the only one up so far. 11:00AM BBT: BB: "HGs, it's time to get up for the day." FotH

11:30AM BBT: Feeds are back. Zach is in the pool, Jessica is in the bathroom and Jen is outside. She is trying to be funny, but no one is answering her. She said it looks like a good day to tan, and then said she is going to work out. Jen goes into the bathroom. Jessica comes out of the toilet stall, washes her hands, then goes into the kitchen. She says good morning to Zach, but didn't say anything to Jen when she was in the bathroom.

Zach is telling Jessica how he got up to good music, put his shorts on and went running out to the pool, yelling that he was awake. Jen is talking from the bathroom, but no one acknowledged her. Dick came downstairs from the HoH and said, "Good morning, sunshine" to Jessica, and "Good Morning, bitch" to Jen, then we get FotH.

Eric says he wants to know why if someone eats one bite it is the same as eating all week. Eric wants to know if she continues to eat, they get nothing else. Zach, Dick and Eric all hate cheaters. They said does that mean Jameka can go after HoH? Can Jen get her other half of the money back because she wants it? They are upset that she can continue to flaunt the rules, and BB does nothing. A penalty nom isn't that big of a deal since she was already on the block. They start debating what could happen, and we get FotH

Eric said it wasn't part of the food competition, but part of PoV that she voluntarily gave up eating for the Veto. Since she used it, does that mean she doesn't have any other consequences? Zach tries to explain his interpretation of the rules, that it says penalty nomination, but they want more since she didn't stop. Zach starts to say more about the rules, and we get FotH. It comes back momentarily with Zach saying, “They have never had anyone so outright.” More FotH.

Jen comes out and Dick tells her she isn't included in the conversation when she starts to comment. She said she got a penalty nomination, Eric said that wasn't good enough. She got the PoV, which sent Kail home and put Eric on the block because of what she agreed to do. Since she hasn't honored that, she should get more than a penalty nomination.

Eric thinks Jen is walking around like she is proud of it. She said she is the first to get it. He wants to know if there is a sliding scale of what happens depending on how much someone does. Dick (or Zach) asked if she should be evicted. Eric said that isn't for them to say, BB needs to explain it to them. We get more FotH.

12:20PM BBT: Zach is again complaining about “cheaters.” He said after 8 seasons, they should have an idea of what to do. Dick says, “She is leaving, so she doesn't give a Fuck.” Zach thinks they have to get confirmation before saying anything, and probably wait for the others to get back. They all agree.

Jessica and Jameka are sunbathing and so is Jen, but no one is talking to her. Jessica asked if Eric was going to sunbathe too and he says, "Maybe later" as he has to lose 5 games of chess to Zach first.

Zach told Dick that he wanted Eric to have Jessica and Jameka do cannonballs in the pool to get Jen all wet. Eric said that was too subtle, they need to just pick up her chair and dump her. They will all get penalty nominations, and then they can just keep doing it.

Zach is laughing about the girls (Amber and Daniele) coming back and asking what they missed. He said they should say, “Nothing happened, we went to bed at 11:00...oh, by the way.... one thing happened.” Dick tells Zach they shouldn’t “rain on their parade,” let them tell what they did first because they’ll be excited.

They discuss the Jen situation some more… They say it is a catch-22 for the producers. It is breaking the rules, and is blatant, but it makes great TV. They decide not to talk about it anymore; they don't want it to ruin their day. Conversation changed to E-Z passes and toll roads. Zach runs screaming and yelling and jumps into the pool. Jameka is talking about how hot it is.

1:00PM BBT: Jessica just came out and told everyone that Jen's picture was turned gray. (Jen is in the DR) Eric, Zach, Jameka and Dick go running inside, and she starts laughing. They tell her that wasn't funny, Eric jokes and tells her to go back to Kansas. They all go back outside again. FotH.

1:30PM BBT: Still FotH. This is getting interesting! The suspense is building! [Could be Amber and Daniele returning, too. – Jem] Eric could be heard saying, "it is still their show, and anything that effects the integrity” Then back to FotH. 1:35PM BBT: Feeds come back and Jessica is in the kitchen chitchatting with Zach. Jen is in the BY sunbathing.

Zach comes by; they briefly discuss Jameka or Jen going home. Jessica says she thinks everyone is voting out Jen. Dick is in the pool. Jameka is outside on the couch and looks like she is praying out loud. She starts humming and we get quick FotH.

Jen goes inside, Zach leaves. More FotH again, then they come back. Eric comes into the kitchen. Eric went to the DR and said he had more questions, and he did get some answers. He says Jameka believes in the rules, but she needs to do something. They are talking about after the live vote, the restrictions being lifted. [Not sure that is fair, either, to everyone else - pierecka]

Eric asks if BB is going to brief Daniele and Amber, or if they have to, but they are not sure when they will be back. They joke about the plane crashing into the CBS building and they are in the hospital, or banners flapping on the side of the wall. Feeds keep going out, and FotH.

Jen is in the kitchen with Eric and tells him she is going to vote for Daniele or Dick at the end, because they have played everyone all summer. Eric tells her, “Shut up and stop threatening them, no one cares, she is entitled to her vote.” More FotH.

Around 2:20PM BBT: Jen keeps eating, and walking around, but everyone is ignoring her. Dick walks by her as she goes to the DR, comes into the kitchen and says she needs to just leave. Eric says she is a poor loser. Zach and Jessica are in the kitchen with Eric and Dick. They said that Jameka should start eating, since she is already on the block. Someone said that she takes the rules seriously, and won't stoop to that level. Dick agreed. He said before she started this entire episode, she read the rulebook. He starts to say what he found in the book, and we get FotH Read more

3:30PM BBT: Dick has gone upstairs to the HOH to sleep, Jameka is outside eating slop, Jess is outside laying down (but looking like she's thinking), Zach is in the shower, Eric is in the bathroom, and Jen is laying on the hammock. Everything is very quiet with people scattered about the house.

3:45PMBBT: Jessica goes into the big bed to take a nap. Jameka is still eating slop and visibly thinking. Jen gets off the hammock, walks up to Jameka (who is alone) and acts like she is going to say something, but Jameka looks away and Jen veers off to go inside and wash out her bowl. Zach is out of the shower getting dressed, brushing teeth, and picking at his face. Jen is wandering around the house

3:50PM BBT: Eric comes outside and says to Jameka, "Can you believe this place? It’s unreal.” Now they commence a riveting discussion about sunglasses. Eric looks retarded in them, he informs us. Jameka goes to lay on a chaise; Eric goes inside and chats with Zach about naptime.

Jessica is napping in the big bed, Dick is in the HoH bed, Eric is in his tiny bed, Jameka is laying on a chaise in the shade outside, and Zach looked like he was headed to his bed before they cut away. Will probably be quiet for a while since they have all decided to take a time out for a nap.

3:55PM BBT: Jen is called to the DR.

4:20PM BBT: Feeds are on Jameka resting in the BY and Eric sleeping in the small bedroom. A few minutes ago, they were showing Jessica sleeping in the big bedroom. No talking going on at all. [I had to check to make sure I didn't leave it on mute!] ETA: They are now showing Dick sleeping in the HOH room.

4:30PM BBT: Still nothing going on. All are napping. 4:32pm Jameka was called to the DR.

Feeds keep switching to different sleeping HGs. Short time on Jen in the round room. Jen is laying face down in the hammock spread eagle with her bathing suit bottoms up her crack. See the Video

The BB house is so dead that even I can keep up with posting things. Asleep – Zach, Dick, Jessica and Eric. Jameka is presumably asleep since I haven't seen her. Jen is on the hammock taking in the last bit of sun. Amber and Daniele are not yet back.

4:50PM BBT: Zach was called to the DR. They had to call him twice. He didn't wake up the first time and he’s not all that happy about it, as he was sleeping. Everyone else is still asleep.

5:15PM BBT: Eric is called to the DR and everyone is still asleep.

5:20PM BBT: Zach is telling Jameka he will be keeping her. He won’t vote for Jen because he doesn’t like cheaters. He also tells her that Jessica let him out of his promise to keep Dustin last week. He is saying he respects Jameka for doing what she has done as she gave up a lot in the PoV challenge, and to see Jen trash the game like she has with her behavior and breaking of the rules is upsetting to him. So, he wanted Jameka to know he is definitely voting to keep her. [Jameka doesn’t say much to this. Not even sure she said thanks. She just keeps looking down, which seems a bit rude to me – piperyoung]

Zach walks off to clean the grill.

Zach is done cleaning the grill and Jameka tells him thanks. Zach is just reiterating that he doesn’t like what Jen did. Jameka says she doesn’t know if it was strategy, Zach doesn’t know. Zach is just saying he doesn’t respect people who break the rules, etc. Jameka is not really saying much. Zach is saying Daniele has done an incredible job winning comps, that she's amazing. [Seems Zach thinks very highly of Daniele, that’s the kind of "competitor" he would want to win the game.]

6:00OM BBT: Jen is eating AGAIN! Zach has cleaned up the kitchen. Eric, Jameka and Jessica are up and around chitchatting.

6:30PM BBT: Jameka and Dick are talking in the BY. He is telling Jameka that Jen found a loophole in the BB rules and they were right to take away the penalty nomination. [They are giving her a penalty vote now] They discuss that she is threatening everyone that she isn’t going to vote for them in the end and that she is just mad because she got backdoored. Jameka wonders about the stray vote and Dick says that because Dustin is gone there won’t be one and the vote will be 6-0 and not 5-0 because of the penalty vote.

Tonight's Broadcast: Amber and Jameka react to being nominated. Jameka doesn't buy Daniele's reason that Jameka's too well liked to take to the finish.

Then we saw how Zach deliberately ran interference when Eric tries to get some alone time with Jessica. See the Video

Amber isn't going to take her nomination lying down, she says she saw a vision, and she's going to win PoV. Amber says, "Like I feel like God did this for a reason, like, to make us stronger. Last week I saw a vision. I won the PoV. And I feel like that was God's way of... prepping me for this week. If my vision was right, I know we're going to both be here next week. I can feel it. I see it. If everything pans out as God's told me it's going to, I'm going to win PoV tomorrow and Jameka and me will be in the final two.

Next, Eric gets his Woobie, and his assignment is to give it to Jessica. Eric takes the stuffed dog to Jessica at bedtime and tells her the story that his mother packed it for him because it always brought him luck and protected him when he was little. See the Video

The PoV contest is next, and the HGs find out that the winner gets a trip outside of the house. They pick balls, Daniele gets to pick first, she gets "Houseguest's Choice" and chooses Dick. Amber gets Jessica, and Jameka gets Zach. Eric hosts: "Houseguests, start your engines! This week only at the Big Brother Speedway. Big Brother fans from all over America were asked their opinions about hot topics in the house, and the results are in. There will be five heats at the speedway today. In each heat, you will be asked to determine what percentage of Big Brother fans answered a certain way in a survey about the Big Brother house. After five heats, a Big Brother racing champion will be crowned with the power of veto. Question A.: 'What percent of those polled think Kail would make a good politician?'" Dick answered with 78%. The correct percentage was 19%. Dick was the first out of the game. The next question was, "What percentage of the public think it would be easy to live in the Big Brother house?" Zach, 62%. Jessica, 52%. Amber, 50%. Jameka, answered 45%. And Daniele, 34%. The answer was a mere 14%. That took out Zach. The next question was, "What percentage thought Dustin would make a better boyfriend than Joe?" Jessica guessed 67%. The answer was 47% and that took out Jessica. Jameka, Amber, and Daniele are remaining. Eric: "How many of those polled said they would rather have a beer with Nick than Mike? Daniele, you answered 83%. Amber, you answered 60%. Jameka, you answered 87%. Let's reveal what percentage of the voting fans would rather have a beer with Nick than Mike? 70%. I'm sorry, Jameka, you answered 87%. You have been eliminated from this heat. Congratulations, Amber and Daniele, you will be going on the mystery trip outside of the Big Brother" house!" And the last question was: "How many of the voting Big Brother fans thought Zach was the sexiest bunny of all the bunnies?" The correct answer was 35%. Amber answered 65%, Daniele answered 46% and won the PoV! See the Video

After the contest Amber cried that she didn't win, and that she was letting her family down. Later, Amber goes to talk to Daniele. "Like, I'm up to making a deal with you of some kind if you use the PoV on me. Otherwise, I’m going to go home. I mean, I really want to be here still. Do you have anything in mind that you...?" Amber asks Daniele. Daniele says, "I will be willing to use the veto on you to take you off, and that secures your safety next week you won't put me up." Amber takes the promise farther and says, "I won't put you up. If you take me off tomorrow-- it doesn't matter Daniele if it's next week or the week after, whenever my HoH time comes, regardless of when it is, I will not put you on the block. And, I won't back-door you either, I swear on my daughter's life. You know that's my word and I wouldn't be saying that. Whoever you put up this week, I’ll vote however you want me to vote." Daniele asks, "I'm sure you wouldn't vote Jameka out." And Amber replies, "Well, I don't want Jameka to go, but, like, however you want me to vote, I'll vote." Amber goes on making promises all the way to the final four.

At the PoV meeting, Daniele used the PoV and took Amber off the block and put up Jen. From the DR, Jen comments: "If I'm still here next week, Daniele and Dick will definitely be my target for the rest of the season. Because she's a cheat and he's disgusting." See the Video

Amber and Daniele have won a trip, but they don't know where they're going. In the DR, a plasma screen lets them in on the secret. "Congratulations, Amber and Daniele, it’s time to find out where you'll be going on your mystery trip. After being whisked away from the Big Brother house in a limo, you’ll be boarding a private jet bound for New York City. Once there, you'll have the opportunity of a lifetime. You'll both be contestants on the brand-new hit game show 'Power of 10' hosted by Drew Carey. One of you could win up to $10 million! It's the next great American game show! 'The power of 10.'" And they showed the commercial we've all seen with Drew asking questions. "Congratulations, Amber and Daniele. Good luck. Your trip begins now."

7:20PM BBT: Nothing too new. Jen has finished eating, and no one is paying any attention to her, and she's not trying to join in. She's looking into the storage room fridge right now.

Jameka is now having some slop while Dick and Eric clean up the kitchen sink.

Eric suggested that it was time for him and Jessica to have a chandelier dinner at the new, smaller table. "You're cooking, right Jessica?" I don't remember if she answered but she sure didn't jump on it.

Spoke too soon - Dick is criticizing Jen for "not giving a shit" while they are trying to keep the integrity of the game. Jen counters with how intimidated everyone else is and won't stand up to him. Dick leaves. No one else in the kitchen speaks to Jen. She just stands there, in silence, across from Jessica and Jameka.

It looks like Eric is cooking penne pasta and meatballs. Jessica and Zach are shouting out about going clubbing tonight. Jameka and Jessica say they're more curious about where the girls went than they are about wanting them back. "If they came back and told us where they are, then they could go back."

When are the girls coming back? ericsturrock tells us that "On Camera Audiences" reports that they are going tape two shows of The Power of 10 on Tuesday. and Wednesday. "So I don't except Daniele & Amber to get back until either late night tonight or late night Wednesday"

7:30PM BBT: Jameka mentions it's almost 24 hours since Amber and Daniele left and she is anxious to see what they did and where they went (of course, we all know they are contestants on the Power of 10). Dick and Zach are now speculating as to Daniele's whereabouts, and Jessica and Eric offer their opinions, too. Jen is eating and eating. No one is really saying anything to her except Dick, who laid into her on a large but typical Dick scale. He told her that no one likes her, wants her around, or to even see her eat. It is rude. He then tells her off then leaves and then everyone ignores Jen. See the Video

7:40PM BBT: Eric (out of the blue): "Did anyone else think it odd that Amber wanted to hold Dustin's penis while he peed?" "Yes," they all thought it odd.

Dinner is ready. Zach is in the LR and tells his housemates he already ate, and that's too many carbs. Dick asks, "You doing Atkins?" And they discuss the Atkins and other fad diets/doctors. Zach goes searching in the SR and takes a bottle of non-diet soda. (Jen, who had left the scene, returned for water and left again.)

Jameka hates hearing doors open and close - in anticipation of the girls. Jessica draws chuckles when she reports that she said in the DR that they went to a landfill.

7:50PM BBT: They are speculating that the girls went to New York - I think they're saying for Primetime Live.

Dinner is served. Eric makes no promises that it will be edible. They miss not having the lazy-susan. Jessica jokes that, "Suzi got evicted." She makes a point of asking Jameka to join them. She sits in the middle, away from the rest, so that her "hands cannot grab either plate."

Eric had put a "J" and an "E" on two of the meatballs - says they didn't come out too well. Jessica asks, "Would you hand me the "E" please?"
Eric jokingly suggests that they be distant to the girls when they return and eventually reveal that they have reformed a five-way alliance among themselves, because they're jealous of their night out.

9:00PM BBT: Zach is sleeping, Jen's not on camera, and Dick, Eric, Jessica and Jameka are sitting at the breakfast bar. They're all pretty bored, and running out of chit-chat. Jameka, in a bored and tired voice, says, "Hello Showtime, welcome to Big Brother 8." Dick laughs and says what is even sadder is that the feed they're showing is probably Zach sleeping.

9:10PM BBT: There is some random chatter about the event of last night. Zach just woke up and came out into the kitchen to play tether ball. No sign of Jen for about an hour and a half.

10:00PM BBT: Here's a recap of the last 45 minutes:
Jen is in the bathroom putting on her make-up.
Eric, Zach and Jessica are at the kitchen counter.
Dick is moving between the kitchen counter and going outside to smoke.
Jameka leaves the idle chat at the kitchen to take a nap.

Dick asks if Eric knows of the Kan-Jew alliance, Kansas-Jewish alliance of Jessica and Eric. They also discuss the pronunciation of different words. Eric is pleased he got in a few jabs at Jen this morning, when Jen discussed her jury vote. Jessica says for once Dick wasn't a part of it

10:35PM BBT: Eric continues to show his reality knowledge by sharing the names of all the winners of The Apprentice. He also explains about a quadruple firing Trump did. Further discussion of Pirate Master, and if the show was canceled, and if they televised the final episodes.
Zach: "That show was so awful, I loved it..."
They try to remember Christian Okoye's name.
Dick: “All they would do is give the guy the ball and run up the middle, five yards, the Nigerian Nightmare.”
Zach: "Christian Okoye was on Pirate Master? I had his 1989 Score card!"
Jessica is drinking, while Dick, Eric, and Zach start talking about NFL running backs.

10:45PM BBT: Dick is in the kitchen spinning cups... (they are bored) waiting for Amber and Daniele to come home. Read more

11:50PM BBT: Amber and Daniele are back! They are in the DR., they slipped and the audio feeds had them saying that they, the other HGs, are probably all standing outside the door waiting for them to come in.

They now came into the house and stated that they took a private jet to New York, and they are not allowed to talk about it before the live show.

Amber just said that Michael Vick did something bad, but she did not know what.

They went to New York in a private jet. "You guys will find out in a couple days." Amber: "We were so depressed to come back." Eric is asking if they were allowed to talk to people. Amber is saying they had to wear "sunglasses and wear head sets." The girls stayed at the Hilton in New Jersey. Amber talks about being interviewed in the limo and FotH. She tells about the videotaping walking into the private jet and says it was a four hour flight and they got to order the food and were told to take a nap and arrived at NY at 5:00. Daniele: "We're not allowed to talk about it, you'll find out. It was a new experience." The girls were very closely watched and couldn't even talk to each other on the plane, or in the hotel.

Eric talks about what went down with Jen. Jen interrupts to say that she was told by BB that she could destroy cigarettes. Jen is now talking about how she will be leaving sequester, and that she can make more money modeling. She is bragging that she is breaking the rules and is proud of it.
