Grammy Award-Nominated Artist, Entrepreneur, and Philanthropist Fat Joe Returns as Host & Co-Executive Producer of “BET Hip Hop Awards” 2023 Premiering Tuesday, October 10 @ 9 PM ET/PT on BET

This year's show continues the celebration of hip hop's 50th anniversary by bringing together the hottest names in music, from emerging artists to pioneering acts who have made a cultural impact through the genre.

Today, Grammy® Award-nominated recording artist, actor, author, entrepreneur, and media personality Fat Joe was announced as the returning host & Co-Executive Producer of “BET Hip Hop Awards” 2023. Taped from Cobb Energy Center in Atlanta, GA, on Tuesday, October 3, the broadcast premiere will air on Tuesday, October 10, @ 9 PM ET/PT on BET. This year’s show continues the celebration of hip hop’s 50th anniversary by bringing together the hottest names in music, from emerging artists to pioneering acts who have made a cultural impact through the genre. The official “BET Hip Hop Awards” 2023 nominations, selected by a voting academy of esteemed music industry insiders, performers, and presenters, were announced last week, with 21 Savage and Cardi B leading this year’s nominations with an outstanding 12 nods each. About Fat Joe

Fat Joe is a Grammy® Award-nominated recording artist, author, actor, entrepreneur, philanthropist and media personality that hails from the Bronx, New York. With an acclaimed career that has spanned three different decades, Joe has cemented his legacy as a hip-hop heavyweight, having amassed several multiplatinum and gold studio albums, mixtapes, singles, and collaborations, including “Lean Back,” “What’s Luv,” “Make It Rain,” and “All The Way Up,” among countless others.

He has also shined in acting roles, most notably starring alongside Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish in Night School as well as in Spike Lee’s She’s Gotta Have It (Netflix). Joe is also slated to star alongside Susan Sarandon in an animated comedy series called The Movers (Fox).

Additionally, Joe is the owner and founder of UP NYC, a chain of three apparel and exclusive footwear stores in New York City.

Gwen Renée Stefani was born on October 3, 1969, and turned 33 years old today. Stefani is a singer-songwriter, fashion designer, and actress. She is a co-founder, lead vocalist, and the primary songwriter of the band No Doubt, whose singles include "Just a Girl", "Spiderwebs", and "Don't Speak", from their 1995 breakthrough studio album Tragic Kingdom, as well as "Hey Baby" and "It's My Life" from later albums. Stefani has won three Grammy Awards. As a solo artist, she has received an American Music Award, Brit Award, World Music Award, and two Billboard Music Awards. In 2003, she debuted her clothing line L.A.M.B. and expanded her collection with the 2005 Harajuku Lovers line, inspired by Japanese culture and fashion. Billboard magazine ranked Stefani the 54th most successful artist and 37th most successful Hot 100 artist of the 2000–2009 decade.
