Hallmark Media celebrates 13 years of Christmas programming with 40 all-new, original movie premieres across Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
This year, the pop culture phenomenon returns with round-the-clock holiday programming starting Friday, October 21, when Hallmark Channel’s “Countdown to Christmas” and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries’ “Miracles of Christmas” kick off the yuletide season. That same day, Hallmark Movies Now, the company’s standalone streaming service, kicks off its annual holiday celebration “Movies & Mistletoe” that will offer subscribers more than 150 Christmas movies with new content becoming available each week through the end of the year.
Viewers can look forward to seeing their favorite stars returning in all-new holiday movies, including, Lacey Chabert, who stars in a record-breaking twelfth Christmas movie for Hallmark this year, Alison Sweeney, Andrew Walker, Ashley Williams, Benjamin Ayres, Brennan Elliott, Brooks Darnell, Erin Cahill, Holly Robinson Peete, Jonathan Bennett, Kristoffer Polaha, Luke Macfarlane, Marilu Henner, Nikki DeLoach, Paul Campbell, Rachel Boston, Ryan Paevey, Tamera Mowry-Housley, Taylor Cole, Tyler Hynes, Victor Webster, Will Kemp and more.
Hallmark is thrilled to welcome exciting and legendary new talent helping to make this year’s lineup merry and bright, such as award-winning actress Marlo Thomas, Ann-Margret, Ellen Travolta, Greta Scacchi, Kara Wang, Grammy Award-winning R&B artist Ledisi, Emmy Award winner Lynn Whitfield, Margaret Colin, Moira Kelly, Mykelti Williamson, Reginald VelJohnson, Reshma Shetty, Stephen Tobolowsky, Tamala Jones, Tia Carrere, and Yael Grobglas, among many others that will light up the screen.
In the spirit of the network’s 2022 ratings hit “The Wedding Veil” trilogy, “Three Wise Men and a Baby” brings together three of Hallmark’s most popular leading men, Paul Campbell, Tyler Hynes and Andrew Walker. The trio stars as brothers who get the surprise of their lives when they are forced to work together to care for a baby over the holidays. As they slowly get the hang of things, they find themselves on unexpected journeys of self-discovery and begin to rebuild their relationships as brothers, as well as the damaged romantic and professional relationships in their respective lives… all while rediscovering their love of Christmas.
Continuing the tradition of working with top recording artists, this year’s original movie premieres will feature special songs celebrating the sounds of the season. “When I Think of Christmas,” starring Shenae Grimes-Beech, Niall Matter and Beth Broderick, features the song of the same name co-written by six-time Grammy® Award winner Amy Grant, Matt Maher and Jason Ingram. R&B recording artist Ledisi stars in “All Saints Christmas” and performs her original song “Home on Christmas” as well as “Be There for Christmas,” while other tracks from her album It’s Christmas will be featured in the movie. Singer-songwriter Tenille Townes, who appears in “Time for Him to Come Home for Christmas,” the fifth installment of the franchise starring Holland Roden and Tyler Hynes from Executive Producer Blake Shelton, also performs a cover version of Shelton’s song “Time for Me to Come Home.” “Hanukkah on Rye,” starring Yael Grobglas and Jeremy Jordan, features the hit song “Light” by Grammy® Award winner Lisa Loeb, who will also appear in a cameo role. “A Fabled Holiday” starring Brooke D’Orsay and Ryan Paevey, features a cameo by renowned violinist and dancer Lindsey Stirling, who performs “Joy to the World” off her upcoming Christmas album, Snow Waltz.
On Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, viewers can celebrate the holidays with new originals inspired by two beloved Hallmark brands. “The Gift of Peace,” starring Nikki DeLoach and Brennan Elliott, is the first movie produced under DaySpring, the highly popular faith-based brand and “The Holiday Stocking,” starring Nadine Ellis, Tamala Jones, BJ Britt, Karon Riley and Mykelti Williamson is the third installment of the critically acclaimed Mahogany banner and first Christmas movie.
Hallmark’s commitment to creating heartwarming holiday movies that offer something for everyone continues. On Hallmark Channel, the rich and diverse culture of Chinese Americans is at the heart of two movies, “A Big Fat Family Christmas” and “Christmas at the Golden Dragon.” “Hanukkah on Rye” is a new story set against the backdrop of The Festival of Lights while “Holiday Heritage” starring Lyndie Greenwood, Brooks Darnell and Holly Robinson Peete, marks the network’s first-ever movie celebrating Kwanzaa. “The Holiday Sitter” features Jonathan Bennett and George Krissa as the first lead LGBTQ+ couple in a holiday movie.
