A&E Heads Back to the Auction Block with Big Bids and Even Bigger Episodes in New Season of “Storage Wars”

A&E’s hit series “Storage Wars” is back and bigger than ever with an expanded new one-hour format, exciting locker finds and wild auction battles. The new season brings even more bidding, buying and selling featuring fan-favorite characters, some of whom have been on the series since its inception. The 10-episode season is set to premiere this summer on A&E.

“Storage Wars” debuted as the Number 1 non-fiction premiere on A&E in 2010 and has consistently ranked among the network’s top original series in terms of total viewership, remaining a Top 10 original series for nearly every year while in premieres (L+SD).

“Storage Wars” features teams of bidders on the hunt for valuable abandoned and repossessed storage units and with only a few minutes to see inside, they must decide whether they’ve spotted trash or true treasure that they can turn into big profits. The competition is fierce with the return of Brandi Passante, Kenny Crossley, Ivy Calvin and his sons, Lisa Delarios and Dusty Riach — as they attempt to outbid each other for the contents of the lockers. With Dan and Laura Dotson back to run the fast-paced, exhilarating auctions, who knows what will happen!

“After 15 seasons of ‘Storage Wars,’ we are thrilled to expand the format and take an even deeper dive into the high-stakes world of storage auctions,” said Elaine Frontain Bryant, Executive Vice President & Head of Programming, A&E and Lifetime. “We can’t wait for the fans to experience the series on a larger scale than ever before.”

“Storage Wars” is produced for A&E by Original Productions, a Fremantle company. Executive producers for Original Productions are Jeff Hasler, Jeff Bumgarner and Roman Mykytyn. Franklin Cumberbatch and Sean Gottlieb serve as executive producers for A&E. A+E Global Media holds worldwide distribution rights for “Storage Wars.”

Overview When rent is not paid on a storage locker for three months in California, the contents can be sold by an auctioneer as a single lot of items in the form of a cash-only auction. The show follows professional buyers who purchase the contents based only on a five-minute inspection of what they can see from the door when it is open. The goal is to turn a profit on the merchandise.
