Homeland (Showtime, Sunday, 9 p.m.) — When “Homeland” returns on Sunday for its fifth season, the Showtime drama will pick up two years after the events of its Season 4 finale and in a completely different setting — Berlin.
After her ill-fated tenure as Islamabad station chief last season, Carrie (Claire Danes) is now estranged from the CIA and working as head of security for German philanthropist Otto Düring (Sebastian Koch). “Homeland’s” entire fifth season is filming in Berlin, the first American TV show to shoot entirely on location in Germany.

The Leftovers (HBO, Sunday 9 p.m.) — Kevin Garvey and his strange little family are playing house in a small Texas town that had zero departures. Surely it will answer all of their problems…

The Good Wife (CBS, Sunday, 9 p.m.) — Season seven opens with Alicia going toe-to-toe with an attorney named Lucca in an effort to breathe life into her law career.

Once Upon a Time (ABC, Sunday, 8 p.m.) — Better pick your favorite corset up from the dry cleaners ’cause King Arthur and Queen Guinevere are throwing a royal ball to end all royal balls.

Madam Secretary (CBS, Sunday, 8 p.m.) — “The Show Must Go On” Elizabeth is pushed into a position of power after President Dalton’s plane is declared missing; Henry and his new Defense Intelligence Agency handler disagree when he is recruited to enlist a Russian student for the National Security Agency.

The Simpsons (FOX, Sunday, 8 p.m.) — Homer is challenged to a smoke-off barbecue competition against Scotty Boom, a super-chef from the Chew Network; before the contest, Homer’s secret weapon, a smoker he acquired from a shady character at a barbecue shack, is stolen.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine (FOX, Sunday, 8:30 p.m.) — Jake and Amy are still struggling to get their feet underneath them when another change hits the precinct, while Charles tries to endure advice from Rosa and Gina.

Blood & Oil (ABC, Sunday, 9 p.m.) — Wick is trying to play it cool as everyone with a brain suspects the Briggs Oil robbery was an inside job, and Cody violates the “happy wife, happy life” mantra when he makes another deal with the devil.

Fear the Walking Dead (AMC, Sunday 9 p.m.) —  Season 1 comes to a close as characters have to make tough decisions about who is and isn’t important enough to carry through the apocalypse.

Family Guy (FOX, Sunday, 9 p.m.) — Ultimate sitcom dad Ed O’Neill lends his voice to the character of Joe’s father, who is intolerant of people with disabilities. Oh, and Stewie hangs out with Tom Cruise.

Last Man on Earth (FOX, Sunday, 9:30 p.m.) — Phil and Carol are separated and they don’t have cellphones or walkie-talkies. Is this what the ’70s were like?

CSI: Cyber (CBS, Sunday, 10 p.m.) — Patricia Arquette, Ted Danson, James Van Der Beek “Why-Fi” Civilian specialist D.B. Russell is appointed as the director of the Next Generation Cyber Forensics division; Avery contemplates accepting a new position within the FBI; Krumitz speaks at his sister’s trial; Elijah handles a critical family matter.

Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO, Sunday, 11 p.m.) — Oliver recently made a web exclusive to shame all of your Facebook friends for freaking out over that annoying privacy settings thing. For his latest trick, he’ll surely shine a light on some other egregiously obnoxious staple of American society.

Late Night — Morgan Freeman, Ruth Wilson and Sean Murray on Colbert; Seth Rogen, Victor Cruz and Chvrches on Fallon.
