She was 95.<\/p>\n<p>Michaels was best known as Josephine from <em>King of Queens<\/em>, also known for roles in <em>Modern Family<\/em>, <em>2 Broke Girls<\/em>, and <em>Everybody Loves Raymond<\/em>. On the big screen, Michaels was known for <em>Easy A<\/em> (2010), <em>Wedding Crashers<\/em> (2005) and <em>Bad Ass<\/em> (2012). She appeared with Sally Field as her mother in <em>Hello, My Name Is Doris<\/em> (2015),<\/p><div id=\"morty-3445253023\" class=\"morty-content\"><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4937602850188786\" crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block; text-align:center;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4937602850188786\" \ndata-ad-slot=\"5227734695\" \ndata-ad-layout=\"in-article\"\ndata-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\n<script> \n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); \n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n<p>Michaels career started in the 1950s with an appearance on <em>The George Gobel Show<\/em>, but later took a break from acting to become a therapist, and returned to acting in the late \u201980s in \u201c<em>Highway to Heaven<\/em>.\u201d Her last TV appearance was on \u201c<em>Brooklyn Nine-Nine<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Survivors include her longtime manager and friend Jasper Cole; his husband, Dennis Turrone of Palm Springs and Los Angeles; and several cousins.<\/p>\n<p>Memorial services and a celebration of life are planned for March.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Veteran character actress Norma Michaels passed away from natural causes on January 11 at her home in Palm Springs, CA.
