Premiering on HGTV Friday, October 4, @ 9PM ET\/PT, the new series will feature a former jail inhabited by bats, an alleged mobster hideout and a crumbling home that gives off witchy vibes. Retta, a comedian, actress and home design enthusiast, will tour nine eerie and terrifying houses through the Midwest, Northeast and South that have everything from built-in death traps and questionable taxidermy to daunting basements and ghost sightings.<\/p>\n<p>Retta will share hilariously unfiltered views about each home&#8217;s scary appearance, bad function and fright factor.
