The upcoming series will follow the adventures of a new class of Starfleet cadets as they come of age in one of the most legendary places in the galaxy. Produced by CBS Studios, the highly anticipated new series will begin production later this month.<\/p>\n<p>Rosta joins the previously announced cast of cadets: Kerrice Brooks, Bella Shepard, George Hawkins, Karim Dian\u00e9, and Zo\u00eb Steiner, as well as Holly Hunter, who plays the captain and chancellor of Starfleet Academy. Under the watchful and demanding eyes of their instructors, they discover what it takes to become Starfleet officers as they navigate blossoming friendships, explosive rivalries, first loves, and a new enemy that threatens both the Academy and the Federation itself.<\/p>\n<p>A British Canadian actor and model, Rosta recently graduated from the Oxford School of Drama. During this time, he starred as Romeo in <em>&#8220;Romeo and Juliet,&#8221;<\/em> Trofimov in <em>&#8220;The Cherry Orchard&#8221;<\/em> and Tom Musgrave in <em>&#8220;The Watsons&#8221;<\/em> at the Jermyn Street Theatre. Rosta recently made his professional debut in <em>&#8220;The Harmony Test&#8221;<\/em> at Hampstead Theatre.<\/p>\n<p>Alex Kurtzman and Noga Landau serve as co-showrunners and executive produce the series alongside executive producers Gaia Violo, Aaron Baiers, Olatunde Osunsanmi, Jenny Lumet, Rod Roddenberry, Trevor Roth, Frank Siracusa and John Weber.
