The 10-episode, hour-long drama series from Warner Horizon Scripted Television is based on DC characters created by Bob Kane with Bill Finger.<\/p>\n<p>The series follows Bruce Wayne&#8217;s legendary butler, Alfred Pennyworth (Jack Bannon), a former British SAS soldier in his 20s, who forms a security company and goes to work with a young billionaire Thomas Wayne (Ben Aldridge), who&#8217;s not yet Bruce&#8217;s father, in 1960s London.<\/p><div id=\"morty-3746293654\" class=\"morty-content\"><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4937602850188786\" crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block; text-align:center;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4937602850188786\" \ndata-ad-slot=\"5227734695\" \ndata-ad-layout=\"in-article\"\ndata-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\n<script> \n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); \n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n<p>In addition to Jack Bannon (<em>The Imitation Game<\/em>, <em>Ripper Street<\/em>) and Ben Aldridge (<em>Our Girl<\/em>, <em>Fleabag<\/em>), cast members include multi-award-winning recording artist Paloma Faith, Jason Flemyng (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), Ryan Fletcher (<em>Outlander<\/em>), Hainsley Lloyd Bennett (<em>Eastenders<\/em>), Emma Paetz (<em>Gentleman Jack<\/em>) and Polly Walker (<em>The Mentalist<\/em>, <em>Rome<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Pennyworth is from executive producer\/writer Bruno Heller (<em>Gotham<\/em>, <em>The Mentalist<\/em>, <em>Rome<\/em>) and executive producer\/director Danny Cannon (<em>Gotham<\/em>, <em>CSI<\/em> series). Production on the series is currently underway at Warner Bros.
