during an already landmark year for the band that includes two new studio albums, including just-announced Return of the Dream Canteen, releasing October 14th on Warner Records, and a critically and commercially-acclaimed global stadium tour.<\/p>\n<p>One of the most successful acts in rock history, singer Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea, drummer Chad Smith, and guitarist John Frusciante, have sold more than 60 million albums, including five multi-platinum LPs, won six Grammy Awards and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Today, MTV and Red Hot Chili Peppers also teamed up for an exclusive global video premiere of &#8220;Tippa My Tongue,&#8221; moments:<\/p>\n<p>A trio of legendary &#8220;VMAs&#8221; performances, including their 1992 debut with a head-banging rendition of &#8220;Give it Away,&#8221; a rocking performance of &#8220;Warped&#8221; in 1995, and their last show appearance in 2000, performing hit &#8220;Californication&#8221; before accepting the coveted Video Vanguard Award.<\/p>\n<p>The band were 3x nominees in their first year (1990) for &#8220;Higher Ground,&#8221;
