After losing someone close to her, she considers quitting the family business until her father\u2019s disappearance and the arrival of newcomer John Winchester forces her to lead a new team.<\/p>\n<p>John Winchester (Rodger) has recently returned from Vietnam and finds a new mission back home, where his father\u2019s past leads him to a secret organization and a whole new war as a demon hunter.<\/p>\n<p>Robbie Thompson, who took over writing duties on <em>Supernatural<\/em> after creator\/writer Eric Kripke left in 2011, will write and executive produce <em>The Winchesters<\/em> with Jensen and Danneel Ackles.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Winchesters<\/em> is The CW\u2019s third try at a <em>Supernatural<\/em> spinoff; previous efforts <em>Bloodlines<\/em> (in 2014) and <em>Wayward Sisters<\/em> (2017) didn\u2019t go forward. The CW ordered a pilot in early February, along with a <em>Walker- Texas Ranger<\/em> prequel (exec produced by the parent show\u2019s star and fellow <em>Supernatural<\/em> alum Jared Padalecki).<br \/>\n<div class='bootstrap-yop yop-poll-mc'>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"basic-yop-poll-container\" style=\"background-color:#ffffff;
