Lee&#8217;s Blackmaled Productions banner has several projects in development including &#8220;<em>I Almost Forgot About You<\/em>&#8221; (Universal), an adaptation of Terry McMillan&#8217;s novel with Viola Davis, &#8220;<em>The Classic<\/em>&#8221; (Universal), &#8220;<em>Real Talk<\/em>&#8221; (Universal), and &#8220;<em>Rock the Bells<\/em>&#8221; (Fox).<\/p>\n<p>Malcolm D. Lee is represented by A3 Artists Agency and Del, Shaw, Moonves, Tanaka, Finkelstein &amp; Lezcano.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;&#8216;<em>The Best Man<\/em>&#8216; films were a cultural touchstone during my college days &#8211; and they&#8217;ve remained influential pop culture references to this day,&#8221; said Dayna Lynn North. &#8220;I&#8217;ve grown up laughing with these characters, copying their dance moves, and grieving at their losses. I am overjoyed to be partnering with Malcolm D. Lee and this amazing cast to adapt this iconic franchise at Peacock.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>North is a film and television writer, producer and cultural curator. Currently, she is co-writing and executive producing &#8220;<em>Young Love<\/em>,&#8221; the anticipated series adaptation of the Academy Award-winning short &#8220;<em>Hair Love<\/em>.&#8221; Most recently, Dayna was a writer\/executive producer and showrunner on &#8220;Insecure,&#8221; co-created by and starring Issa Rae.<\/p>\n<p>Sean Daniel, of Hivemind, is reteaming with Malcolm D.
