This season, expect to see some familiar faces in the courtroom, as a few of the cases include popular influencers bringing their drama &#8211; and their followers &#8211; with them. Production begins this month. As previously announced, BET Media Group extended its multi-year overall deal with Patricia &#8220;Ms. Pat&#8221; Williams under which she will produce and perform in new series and other projects across BET.<\/p>\n<p>In the second season of MS. PAT SETTLES IT &#8211; currently airing on Wednesdays @ 10 PM ET\/PT &#8211; Ms. Pat and the &#8220;Jury of Her Peers&#8221; preside over a fresh batch of real court cases encompassing a myriad of issues, including imposter designer karma, family conflicts, and court-ordered marriage ultimatums. Each case balances intense drama with uproarious comedy, mirroring Ms. Pat&#8217;s own life experiences. PAT:<\/h4>\n<p>Declared by The Huffington Post as &#8220;the real hero of sitcom TV,&#8221; Patricia Williams (aka Ms. Pat) is a comedian, author, radio host, podcaster, and actress. Her critically acclaimed multi-Emmy\u00ae-nominated sitcom <em>The Ms. Pat Show<\/em>, produced by Lee Daniels and Brian Grazer, will premiere its 5th Season later this year. The series is streaming on BET+ and Paramount+ with an edited version airing on BET linear. The premiere of the show shattered viewership records on the streamer almost crashing the app, and garnered Emmy\u00ae nominations in the &#8220;Outstanding Direction for a Comedy Series&#8221; category in 2022, 2023, and 2024. <em>The Ms. Pat Show<\/em>, based on Pat&#8217;s real-life story of an inner-city drug dealer turned suburban mom, has been a hit with fans and critics alike. The Hollywood Reporter raved, &#8220;Think Roseanne of the 1980s and 1990s, but even rawer&#8221; and Essence Magazine gushed &#8220;Ms. Pat is headed for the comedy stratosphere.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Following the success of <em>The Ms. Pat Show<\/em>, BET\/Paramount Global signed Pat to a multi-genre overall deal under which she will produce, write, and perform in new series and other projects &#8211; both scripted and unscripted &#8211; across all platforms. Under this deal, her weekly court show <em>Ms. Pat Settles It<\/em> debuted on BET linear in October 2023 and was quickly picked up for a second season. In the beloved tradition of <em>Judge Judy, Judge Joe Brown<\/em>, and <em>Steve Harvey<\/em>, Pat takes hold of the gavel to settle people&#8217;s everyday disputes. Using her signature raw, unfiltered, hilarious sensibility that has made her a fan-favorite and critical darling, Pat and a jury of her comedy friends resolve high stakes disputes including who is financially responsible for dog poop on that rug, do food stamps count as payment, and what is proper hair wig etiquette.<\/p>\n<p>Pat recently appeared as a roaster on Netflix&#8217;s &#8216;<em>Torching 2024: A Roast Of The Year<\/em>&#8216; which premiered in the &#8220;Top 10 TV Shows in the US&#8221; and remained there for two weeks.
