Slated for a 2018 premiere, the new Lost in Space takes its cues from the original series, revolving around the Robinson family, who is forced to come together in a time of crisis. However, in this version of LIS the Jupiter 2 is one of a series of Jupiter pods attached to a mothership.
After an alien attack, and a plunge through a black hole, the Jupiter 2 and the Robinson family crashes down on a planet along with other Jupiter pods.
This move was to give the Robinsons human contact without the original plot flaws such as English speaking aliens.
One of the human colonists from another camp will be Victor (Raza Jaffrey), described as well groomed, educated and officious, with a sense of entitlement, Victor has been a career builder and politician from a young age. Victor is arrogant, impatient, but his bravado masks the underlying fear that he’ll one day be found out — that he isn’t quite good enough.

I think it’s okay remake lost in space, but this time producers and writers should offer a series less childish and with a lot of adventure, drama, suspense and a little tip of terror. these characters are lost in the universe.this Could be something quite similar to what we experience with x-files series.
