BritBox Gets Ready to Rock: Sally Wainwright Original Series “Riot Women” Premieres January 14

From BAFTA-winning writer and director Sally Wainwright (Happy Valley), Riot Women follows five menopausal women who form an unlikely punk band, rediscovering their voices and themselves in the process. Led by Joanna Scanlan (Slow Horses), Tamsin Greig (Friday Night Dinner), Lorraine Ashbourne (Sherwood), Taj Atwal (Line of Duty), and Rosalie Craig (Moonflower Murders), the bold, music-fueled drama celebrates friendship, rebellion, and refusing to be silenced. The original series premieres on BritBox January 14 with two episodes.

For over a decade, Shetland has delivered on drama and deception. Inspired by the award-winning series from crime novelist Ann Cleeves (Vera), detectives Tosh (Alison O’Donnell, Holby City) and Carter (Ashley Jensen, Mayflies) are faced with another harrowing case in the Scottish isles.
