BBC Studios and SHOWTIME® announced that the revenge thriller REUNION will premiere on streaming and on demand on Paramount+ for Premium Plan subscribers before its on-air debut Sunday, September 14 @ 9:00PM ET/PT on Paramount+ with SHOWTIME in the United States. Remaining episodes will premiere weekly. The entire series will be available to stream on CBC Gem in Canada beginning Friday, September 19.
From Warp Films, the producers of the breakout drama ADOLESCENCE, REUNION follows Daniel Brennan (Matthew Gurney), a Deaf man returning to society after ten years in prison. Haunted by the past and driven by a need for both redemption and revenge, Brennan struggles to reconnect with his family and find his place in a world where he belongs to neither side – unable to fully integrate into hearing society and shunned by the Deaf community. Told in British Sign Language and spoken English, this powerful revenge thriller charts Brennan’s attempt to rebuild a relationship with his estranged, now-adult daughter Carly (Lara Peake), while Christine (Anne-Marie Duff) – the wife of the man Brennan killed – searches for answers of her own. As their lives collide, Brennan must choose: give in to his thirst for vengeance or seize the chance for a new life with his daughter.
REUNION is created and written by William Mager. The series is directed by Luke Snellin (One Day, Wanderlust) who also acts as executive producer, with Helen Ostler (The Last Kingdom, Crime) as producer, and Siobhan Morgan (Waterloo Road, Hollyoaks) as associate producer. Mark Herbert (Adolescence, This is England) and Gwen Gorst (Unforgotten, A Discovery Of Witches) are executive producers for Warp Films, alongside series writer William Mager, with Rebecca Ferguson and Jo McClellan for the BBC. Reunion is supported by Screen Yorkshire, and BBC Studios is handling global sales.
