“Big Brother 27” is All About Unlocking the Secrets

The 27th Big Brother season will premiere on Thursday, July 10. Promotional themes have included whispers and “top secret” messages, which have led to fans speculating a secret agent or spy theme for the season. Fans have also speculated about the return of the Twin Twist, where identical twins play as one Houseguest for the early part of the season until they both enter the game as separate Houseguests, due to subtle references to “twinning” and past twin Houseguest Liz Nolan made by host Julie Chen Moonves. The Big Brother Twin Twist debuted on Big Brother 5, when twins, Adria Klein and Natalie Carroll, both played as Adria, and would switch places at various times. In Big Brother 17, Liz and Julia Nolan played as Liz, secretly swapping in and out of the house. If they could survive five weeks without being evicted, they will be able to enter the game as individual players.

The house was suspicious of Liz having a twin because Da’Vonne Rogers had noticed Liz’s body weight often changed, and her habits, such as working out, were inconsistent. John McGuire, a dentist from Scranton, PA, figured out that there are two of them by looking at Liz’s teeth to verify his suspicions. “She has a crown on #9.”

To complicate things even further, Liz Nolan became romantically involved with housemate Austin Matelson.

Julia was Evicted: Day 85, and Liz lasted until day 98.
