“MonsterQuest” Returns January 2 to Investigate the World’s Most Chilling Monster Encounters on The History Channel [VIDEO]

For centuries, people around the world have reported strange and sometimes terrifying encounters with what they describe as monsters. Now, for the first time, some of these witnesses are sharing their experiences. Each hour-long, themed episode of MonsterQuest unravels the mystery behind these chilling accounts. These extraordinary stories are brought to life like never before – challenging everything we think we know about the unknown.

New season of MonsterQuest returns Friday, January 2 @ 10PM/9c. The season five premiere episode, Cops vs. Cryptids, looks at the chilling cases of law enforcement officers facing monsters no training could ever prepare them for. From the terrifying “Beast of LBL” to Bigfoot encounters in Oklahoma and Washington State, a shadow man in New Jersey, and a bizarre half-man, half-goat in Colorado, first responders confront creatures that defy logic and warp reality.
