BET+ Releases Trailer for “War Dawgz,” Premiering Thursday, October 16th [VIDEO]

BET+ announced today the upcoming premiere of its new action-packed film, WAR DAWGZ, directed and written by Kevin Grevioux. The film will stream exclusively on BET+ on Thursday, October 16.

In WAR DAWGZ, after the United States is attacked by a foreign invasion force, a group of central Los Angeles citizens must protect their neighborhood from both occupation and annihilation.

The upcoming film brings together a team led by Kevin Grevioux, who serves as both Director and Writer. The score will be composed by Brett Winters.

Set against the backdrop of Compton, California, this gripping action-drama follows Rocker, a stoic yet devoted military father who returns home from deployment – only to find his community under siege by a mysterious foreign force. When all communication is cut off, Rocker becomes the unlikely center of resistance as churchgoers, mechanics, teachers, police, and even rival gang members unite to defend their streets. Meanwhile, Rocker’s son, Trent, and his girlfriend devise a daring plan to restore communications and reach the Pentagon before it’s too late. With the odds stacked against them, the people of South Central must rise together to reclaim their home and fight for survival.

Guiding the project are Executive Producers Jason Harvey, Matthew Macur, Jim Burleson, and Kurt Van Fossen. Producers Kevin Weisberg, Damien Douglas, and Ryan D. Adams lead the production.

The film stars Michael Beach (Alonzo Rocker), Kadeem Hardison (Ezekiel “Zeke” Hargrove), Golden Brooks (Erin Sanders), Jill Marie Jones (Daphne Rocker), Carl Anthony Payne (Vic Valentine), Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs (Lawrence Slate), Walter Jones (Ed “Eddie” Ivory), Brandon Quinton Adams (Cedric Grier) and Raven-Symone (Pam).

Carl Anthony Payne as Vic Valentine – The jokester mechanic and loyal friend, always ready to defend the community.

Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs as Lawrence Slate – A mortician with a rough edge, but a loyal heart for his people.

Walter Jones as Ed “Eddie” Ivory – A history teacher who brings wisdom and strength to Rocker’s circle of friends.

Brandon Quinton Adams as Cedric Grier – A dedicated social worker standing with his community.

Moriah Brown as Michelle Warfield – A tough and dedicated officer working alongside Sanders.
