In TLC’s new series, DANGEROUSLY OBESE, individuals attempt to lose weight and reinvent their lives with the help of renowned bariatric surgeon, Dr. Charles Procter, who is well known for his work on TLC’s 1000-LB Sisters and 1000-LB Best Friends. Facing incredible challenges as they work to save their own lives, the series will profile people who have made the brave commitment to undergo bariatric surgery and finally make a change. Featured stories include a mother-daughter duo who have been plagued with obesity for most of their lives, a newly out and proud gay man ready to live life to its fullest, and a former softball player whose career was cut short by her obesity.
