STARZ announced today out of Hall H at Comic-Con International, that the eighth and final season of the time-traveling, epic romance “Outlander” will premiere in early 2026. Fans at Comic-Con watched the first teaser trailer for the upcoming eighth season that portrays Claire and Jamie’s epic romance spanning through decades and teases what’s to come. Fresh off a shocking cliffhanger, the new teaser hints at the possible fate of Jamie Fraser.
Following the “Outlander” panel, cast and executive producers from “Outlander: Blood of my Blood,” the highly anticipated prequel series, took the stage, where showrunner and executive producer Matthew B. Roberts announced that the series will now air the first two episodes on its Friday, August 8th premiere date. During the panel, cast and creatives also detailed what viewers can expect from the sweeping romantic saga and revealed the first two clips released from the series, one featuring Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy) and Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater), the parents of Jamie Fraser from “Outlander”; and the other featuring Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine), the parents of Claire Randall from “Outlander.”
In between the “Outlander” and “Outlander: Blood of my Blood” panels, Raya Yarbrough, who sang The Skye Boat Song for “Outlander’s” theme for the first six seasons, performed her iconic version live to Hall H, and led a sing-a-long with fans, which then transitioned into a concert of bagpipers who played Scotland the Brave to transport the audience back to Scotland before the “Outlander: Blood of my Blood” cast and creative team took the stage.
Seasons One through Seven of “Outlander” are now available on the STARZ app, and all STARZ streaming and on-demand platforms. “Outlander: Blood of my Blood” will premiere on Friday, August 8.
