Emmy and Golden Globe Winning Actress, Felicity Huffman, Scrubs in for Season Two of the Hit FOX Drama, “Doc”

Doc Returns Tuesdays This Fall On Fox, and The Complete First Season Is Available To Stream On Hulu.

The second season of Doc follows powerhouse physician Dr. Amy Larsen (Molly Parker) as she continues to rebuild her life after a car crash erased eight years of her memory. No longer Chief of Internal Medicine at Westside Hospital, Amy must restart her medical journey as an Intern in the hopes of becoming the doctor she once was. She’ll confront hard truths about her missing years, work to repair fractured relationships, and seek to reconcile the person she used to be with the one everyone else has come to know. This emotionally charged, life-altering-and-affirming medical procedural also stars Omar Metwally, Amirah Vann, Jon Ecker, Anya Banerjee, Patrick Walker, and Charlotte Fountain-Jardim. Emmy Award® winner Felicity Huffman joins the drama in a series regular role as Dr. Joan Ridley, Amy Larsen’s med school professor and early mentor, and the new Chief of Internal Medicine at Westside Hospital.

Doc is co-produced by Sony Pictures Television and FOX Entertainment Studios. Barbie Kligman and Hank Steinberg serve as co-showrunners and executive producers. Erwin Stoff, Russell Fine, John Weber, Frank Siracusa, Carol Barbee, and David Foster also serve as executive producers. Doc is inspired by a true story and is based on the globally acclaimed Italian series, Doc — Nelle tue mani, which was created and is produced by Lux Vide, a Fremantle Company.

About Felicity Huffman:

Felicity Huffman has proven herself to be an exceptional actress in both dramatic and comedic roles. Huffman earned an Academy Award® nomination for her stunning performance in “Transamerica” as well as a Golden Globe Award and Independent Spirit Award for the same role. Huffman has also been honored with an Emmy® and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her role on “Desperate Housewives.” Huffman received an Emmy nomination for her role as ‘Janette Hesby’ in the third season of Academy Award Winner John Ridley’s ABC Drama Miniseries “American Crime.” Additionally, she received two Emmy® nominations for the show, one for her role as ‘Barb Hanlon’ in the first season and the other for her role as ‘Leslie Graham’ in the second season.

Most recently, Huffman can be seen starring in Lifetime’s “The Thirteenth Wife: Escaping Polygamy,” a special two-part film that tells the true story of Rena Chynoweth, a woman who escaped a life of oppression and violence within a polygamous cult. In 2024, Huffman was seen guest starring in “Criminal Minds: Evolution,” as well as FOX’s anthology series “Accused.”

Huffman is best known for her role as Lynette Scavo on the ABC hit “Desperate Housewives.” The cast won the 2004 SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series and won a Golden Globe for Best Television Series-Comedy or Musical. On the small screen, Huffman was seen in 2004 in the television movie “Reversible Errors.” Among her television movie credits are “When They See Us,” “Out of Order,” the critically acclaimed “Door to Door,” “Path to War,” “The Heart Department,” “Harrison, Cry of the City,” “Quicksand,” “Heart of Justice,” “The Water Engine,” and Underworld.” Other television credits include “Chicago Hope,” “X-Files,” “Law and Order,” “Bedtime Stories” and appearances as a series regular on “The Human Factor,” the ABC series “Sports Night,” “Thunder Alley,” “Early Edition,” “Jules,” and “The Golden Years.” Huffman’s film credits include “Rudderless,” “Trust Me,” “Phoebe in Wonderland,” “Georgie Rule,” “Christmas with the Cranks,” “Otherhood” and “Raising Helen”. She was also featured in “Transamerica,” for which she received Oscar® and SAG nominations and won a Golden Globe and Independent Spirit Award.
