Lifetime Expands “Terry McMillan Presents” Banner with “His, Hers & Ours” Starring Taye Diggs and Lesley-Ann Brandt

Following the success of Terry McMillan Presents: Forever, Lifetime acquires the new indie film His, Hers & Ours from The Ninth House. Executive produced by Taye Diggs (Terry McMillan Presents: Forever, How Stella Got Her Groove Back, The Best Man), who returns to the network, and Lesley-Ann Brandt (The Walking Dead: The Ones That Live, Lucifer), the movie will join as part of the network’s continued partnership with Terry McMillan under the Terry McMillan Presents banner. Aimee Garcia (Dexter, Lucifer, Christmas with You) also stars in Terry McMillan Presents: His, Hers and Ours, set to debut later this year.

In Terry McMillan Presents: His, Hers & Ours, single father Darius (Diggs) discovers his teenage daughter in bed with her boyfriend Chase and wastes no time kicking him out. However, a knock at the door changes everything. Kelly (Brandt), Chase’s mother, shows up furious, ready for confrontation. But neither expected the undeniable spark between them. Forced to spend time together due to their children’s relationship, Kelly and Darius slowly develop feelings for each other. As their secret romance blossoms, they steal moments at family gatherings and behind closed doors, they savor the kind of love they both thought they’d never find again. But when it comes time to tell their children the truth, they must decide how much they are willing to risk for family and love. Aimee Garcia stars as Kelly’s best friend and event planner, Sofia, who grows suspicious of her budding relationship.
