Sushi legend Chef Morimoto is back! The world’s first sushi competition show returns for an all-new season. Stream Sushi Master Season 2 for free on April 25.
Chef Masaharu Morimoto tests the skills of eight expert sushi chefs, alongside fellow judge, Chef Phillip Frankland Lee, and host Lyrica Okano. Each week, the chefs will face challenges that test their fundamental sushi skills, creativity, and out-of-the-box thinking. They’ll present artfully inspired creations, including exquisite sushi platters, bento boxes, an omakase service, and more, hoping to evade elimination. One chef will win a cash prize and the title of Morimoto’s Sushi Master.

EPISODE 1: KNIVES OUT
Culinary legend Chef Morimoto puts eight sushi chefs to the test. First, they must prepare nigiri, sashimi, and maki rolls. Then, they must create a spectacular sushi platter. One chef is eliminated.
EPISODE 2: UN’BENTO BOXING
Chef Morimoto demonstrates how to prepare a perfect Japanese omelet and challenges the seven remaining chefs to make their own. Then, the chefs must create an upscale bento box with a personal twist.
EPISODE 3: SMELLS LIKE TEAM SPIRIT
The chefs work in pairs for their fastest challenge yet. Then, the winners form new teams to create pop-up concepts and compete head-to-head. A special guest joins the judges, who send one chef home.
EPISODE 4: ART OF THE MEAL
This week, the chefs explore the concept of sushi as art. First, they create exquisite canapes inspired by origami. Then, they prepare stunning sashimi platters inspired by Japanese woodblock prints.
EPISODE 5: SWEET RELIEF
Chef Morimoto tests the chefs’ sweeter side in a dessert challenge with a tea-pairing twist. Then, the chefs create Japanese dishes with international flavors worthy of being on a Morimoto menu.
EPISODE 6: THE FINAL OMAKASE
The final chefs “choose their own adventure,” showcasing a skill that will determine who is eliminated. Two chefs remain to create an omakase service, and one chef is named Morimoto’s Sushi Master.
