Today, Prime Video released the official trailer for the new docuseries Spy High, from Mark Wahlberg’s Unrealistic Ideas and acclaimed director Jody McVeigh-Schultz (McMillion$, Cheer, Shiny Happy People, and The Murders at Starved Rock). All four binge-worthy episodes will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide on April 8.
Spy High is a four-part docuseries that explores the story of 15-year-old Blake Robbins, who filed a lawsuit claiming that his prestigious public school was spying on him when he was accused of selling drugs. Beneath this juicy suburban scandal lie more troubling revelations, with implications in a larger war over digital privacy being waged in schools today.
“Spy High isn’t just a story about digital privacy. It’s about how we make decisions as communities, how we decide what’s best for our kids, and who makes those decisions,” said director Jody McVeigh-Schultz. “It’s about what we prioritize and value, as our schools mold and shape young people into fully-formed adults. It’s about the often blurry line between protecting our children… and controlling them.”
The series is executive produced by Mark Wahlberg, Archie Gips, and Stephen Levinson via their Unrealistic Ideas banner, Aliza Rosen (The Case of: JonBenét Ramsey, My Mom’s Murder), Jody McVeigh-Schultz, and David Wendell. The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios.
