The HISTORY Channel™ will premiere its new nonfiction series “Secrets Declassified with David Duchovny” hosted by the two-time Golden Globe Award-winner on Friday, April 4 @ 10PM ET/PT. Produced by Nutopia in association with GroupM Motion Entertainment, the ten-part series will reveal the latest evidence behind some of the government’s most secretive, strange and mind-blowing activities that have been declassified throughout history.
“I’ve always been drawn to explorations of the more complicated aspects of our lives, leaning into conversations that dig below the surface and unlock a more interesting story,” said Duchovny. “I’m thrilled to be executive producing and hosting a new HISTORY Channel series that’s not afraid to go there. We’re telling the incredible stories of government secrets that have only recently come to light. This series proves that secrets can be uncovered, and mysteries can still be unraveled.”
Over the past century, the US government has declassified hundreds of thousands of documents. From black sites, dark science, surveillance technology, medical experiments and covert weapons of mass destruction – government agencies all over the world carry out extraordinary policies in the name of national interest. In this new ten-episode series, Duchovny investigates some of the most bizarre and disturbing government activities in history and reveals the latest facts behind these astonishing secrets. Each one-hour episode showcases expert interviews to uncover the truth behind famous declassified stories – like the mystery of the Area 51 conspiracy and the real-life story behind the Hollywood film Argo.
