A Different Animal follows six comedy specials for Netflix, the most recent being 2022’s Hot Forever. One of today’s leading comics, she also created and starred in her own sketch series, in addition to writing, exec producing and starring in the film Good on Paper. Other past screen credits include Instant Family, Spenser Confidential, Pieces of a Woman, the limited-run talk show Truth & Iliza for Freeform, and HBO’s The Righteous Gemstones.
Shlesinger is the youngest comedian, and only female to hold the title of NBC’s Last Comic Standing, Shlesinger will be wrapping up her Get Ready Tour this spring, with her 2025 tour to be announced soon. She exec produced A Different Animal alongside her manager Kara Baker, David Martin, and Jackie Stolfi, with Amazon MGM Studios and Avalon producing.
