During the Next on Netflix presentation, Netflix and Tyler Perry announced two new projects: a new film, Madea’s Destination Wedding , and a new comedy series, She The People. Netflix also released first-look images from these projects and unveiled Tyler Perry’s entire 2025 slate, which includes Part 2 of the hit drama series Beauty in Black , set to return on March 6, 2025; the drama feature Straw ; and the faith-based feature R&B.
The new projects mark Tyler Perry’s sixth film and second series from his creative partnership with Netflix, which sees him write, direct, and produce films , series , and faith-based features.
Madea’s Destination Wedding is the second film from the Madea franchise to be released on Netflix. A Madea Homecoming debuted at #1 on the Global Top 10 Films List (English) in 2022, and spent four weeks on the list.
She The People marks Perry’s second series for Netflix after Beauty in Black which reached #1 on the Global Top 10 TV List (English) following its debut.
Perry’s latest film out of the creative partnership, The Six Triple Eight, was his most viewed film through its first four weeks, and the release boosted viewing for his other films by 45%.
Brian and his ex-wife Debrah are shocked to learn their daughter Tiffany is engaged to a rapper she met on a yacht – and the wedding is in two weeks. Madea and her crew head to the Bahamas, stirring up chaos and heartwarming fun.

Rosa Louise McCauley Parks was born on February 4, 1913. Parks was an American activist in the civil rights movement best known for her pivotal role in the Montgomery bus boycott. On December 1, 1955, in Montgomery, Alabama, Parks rejected bus driver James F. Blake's order to vacate a row of four seats in the "colored" section in favor of a White passenger, once the "White" section was filled. Parks was not the first person to resist bus segregation, but the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) believed that she was the best candidate for seeing through a court challenge after her arrest for civil disobedience in violating Alabama segregation laws. The federal Montgomery bus lawsuit Browder v. Gayle resulted in a November 1956 decision that bus segregation is unconstitutional under the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
Parks's act of defiance and the Montgomery bus boycott became important symbols of the civil rights movement. Parks died of natural causes on October 24, 2005, at the age of 92, in her apartment on the east side of Detroit. -
