Landman S2E5 is a tight, pressure‑cooker pivot. Billy Bob Thornton anchors the chaos with weary resolve, while Demi Moore and Jon Hamm sharpen the boardroom chess. West Texas grit feels lived‑in—oilfield peril, family fractures, and moral tradeoffs collide without melodrama. Taylor Sheridan’s pacing is lean, stacking stakes through practical choices and small betrayals rather than speeches. A mid‑episode turn reframes loyalties and raises the cost of survival, positioning Tommy between bankruptcy and a devil’s lifeline. Crisp, tense, and textured, it sets a clean runway for the season’s back half—proof the show’s most compelling engine is character under pressure.
