Oxygen True Crime, home of high-quality, true-crime programming, celebrates the 20th anniversary of “Snapped,” which became appointment viewing in 2004. On track to have its best season ever, the series continues to fascinate armchair detectives. 20 years in the making, the “Snapped” special reexamines the Internet’s first murder trial, taking viewers back to the days of Internet chat rooms and clever screen names, VHS tapes sent via snail mail, and a veritable scarcity of cell phones. During this time, Sharee Miller, a twisted seductress with a skill for manipulation, is convicted of second-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
