For years, the actor and writer starred alongside Larry David in his HBO show, Curb Your Enthusiasm, where he played a semi-fictionalized version of himself. He had most recently appeared in Season 12 of the show, which is airing on HBO.
In a statement shared by Lewis’ publicist, his wife, Joyce Lapinsky, said she “thanks everyone for all the love, friendship and support and asks for privacy at this time”.
Nicknamed “The Prince of Pain”, Lewis was known for poking fun at his own neuroses and hypochondria during his comedy routines.
Born in Brooklyn and raised in New Jersey, Lewis made a name for himself performing in clubs and on late-night TV.
Lewis had to take a break from starring in Season 11 of Curb Your Enthusiasm due to a series of surgeries.

Chyna was born Joan Marie Laurer on December 27, 1969. Chynha was a professional wrestler, bodybuilder, and television personality. She first rose to prominence in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) in 1997, she held the WWF Intercontinental Championship (the only female performer to do so) thrice and the WWF Women's Championship once. She was also the first woman to participate in the Royal Rumble match and King of the Ring tournament, in addition to becoming number one contender to the WWF Championship. She is considered one of the biggest stars of the Attitude Era.
After leaving the WWF in 2001, she wrestled sporadically, with New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) in 2002 and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) in 2011. The latter was her final appearance in the ring. Outside of wrestling, Chyna appeared in Playboy magazine twice, plus numerous television shows and films. On April 20, 2016, Laurer was found dead at her home in Redondo Beach, California. She was 46. -
