Acorn TV’s captivating hit crime drama The Madame Blanc Mysteries, created by and starring Sally Lindsay (Cold Call, Mount Pleasant), returns with an all-new suspenseful Christmas Special on Monday, December 25. The special serves as the first episode in the series’ 7-episode third season. Season 3 will pick back up in February 2024.
The Madame Blanc Mysteries follows renowned and respected antiques dealer, Jean White (Lindsay). Her expertise in the world of antiquities proves to be the key to solving a series of murders and mysteries against the backdrop of the beautiful French village of Sainte Victoire.
In the all-new Christmas Special, eccentric married couple and manor owners Judith Lloyd James (Sue Holderness, Only Fools and Horses, Still Open All Hours) and Jeremy Lloyd James (Robin Askwith, Strike, Benidorm) have arranged for Jean, local taxi driver Dom Hayes (Steve Edge, Starlings, Murder They Hope, Maxine), Chief of Police André Caron (Alex Gaumond, Derry Girls, My Dinner With Hervé, Death In Paradise) and Gloria Beaushaw (Sue Vincent, Mount Pleasant, Shameless) to attend a murder mystery night at an old friend’s hotel. Judith explains that the hotel has a spooky history. A terrible storm starts, and heavy rain pounds the isolated hotel. During the evening, the murder mystery becomes a night of actual murder as someone is killed. With several suspects trapped together in the hotel, can Jean find who is responsible and discover who the killer is? Will this answer the mystery to the ghostly goings on at Hotel Sanguinet?
