“The idea for this show was born out of interviews I did for my first book “The Big, Beautiful Book of Bass,” said Lee. “I was struck that these accomplished musicians also lived incredibly interesting, multifaceted lives offstage. Who knew bass players were so effin’ human?”
In his long-awaited and revealing memoir, “My Effin’ Life” (Harper; November 14, 2023), the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer delves into his extraordinary personal history and takes fans behind the scenes of 50 years of rock, sweat and tears with his legendary band. Lee will embark on the 19-city “My Effin’ Life In Conversation” tour in the U.S., Canada and the U.K., hitting New York, Montreal, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Glasgow and London, among others. Tickets for all dates are available at rush.com/geddylee.
GEDDY LEE ASKS: ARE BASS PLAYERS HUMAN TOO? is produced by Allan Weinrib, and executive produced by Scot McFadyen, Sam Dunn, Rick Krim, Bruce Gillmer, and Amanda Culkowski. Dunn serves as director of the series and Daniel Richler as writer.
