Fuse’s Powerful New Series “Like a Girl,” Featuring Pro-Athletes, Olympians, and Champions, Premieres March 27

Fuse Media, a Latino-owned, multi-platform entertainment company, announced today the cast of its latest new unscripted original series Like a Girl. The six-part series, set to premiere on March 27, 2023 and hosted by model, designer, and former college athlete Beija Marie Velez takes an unfiltered look into the unique perspective of women in sports today.

Like a Girl features some of the most compelling, groundbreaking, and badass female athletes who are turning the phrase “Like A Girl” on its head. They’re all genuine superstars but have often been left out of the spotlight… until now! Velez dives in deep with pro-athletes, Olympians, and champions to share their intimate, personal perspective on the issues they face on and off the field. Mental health, social stigmas, body image, reproductive issues, gender, and race inequality, it’s all fair game.

The elite athletes featured this season include:

· Anastasia Pagonis, American Paralympic swimmer that represented the United States at the 2020 Summer Paralympics and holds the world record in her sport

· April Ross American beach volleyball player and three-time Olympic medalist

· Jennifer Soto, a goofy-footed American skateboarder from Jersey City, New Jersey, and winner of the Street League Skateboarding Pro Open London in 2018

· Cece Telfer, a Jamaican American athlete who, in 2019, became the first openly transgender person to win an NCAA title

· Madison Hammond, American professional soccer player who plays as a defender for Angel City FC of the National Women’s Soccer League and the first Native American player in the league.

· Angel McCoughtry, American professional basketball player and two-time Olympic gold medalist, who has played for the WNBA and also for overseas leagues including Turkey, Slovakia, Lebanon, Hungary and Russia.
