Prime Video Releases Official Trailer for New Unscripted Series “The One That Got Away”

Today, Prime Video released the official trailer for the unscripted reality romance series The One That Got Away, hosted by pop icon and singer/songwriter Betty Who. Prime Video also shared details on the six singles in search of love as part of the trailer release. The series will premiere all 10 episodes on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide on Friday, June 24.

The One That Got Away follows six singles, each searching for their soulmate, as they embark on a never-before-seen quest for love, and are given the chance to explore a lifetime of missed connections. Whether it’s a high school classmate whose crush always went unrequited, or the kind stranger who offered a helping hand five years ago, the potential partners are sure to be dramatic. One by one, people from their past enter through “The Portal” to surprise them and take their shot at love in this time-traveling, experimental dating series.

Elan Gale (The Bachelor franchise, FBoy Island) serves as executive producer and showrunner with Gabe Turner (The Late Late Show with James Corden) and Caroline Roseman (Ex on the Beach, An Audience with Adele) also serving as executive producers. The One That Got Away is produced by Amazon Studios and Fulwell 73 Productions.

The One That Got Away will be the first release from Prime Video’s slate of reality shows to premiere this summer. Forever Summer: Hamptons will premiere all eight episodes in July and Cosmic Love will premiere all 10 episodes in August. These three will join Prime Video’s unscripted hits like Lizzo’s Watch Out For The Big Grrrls, now streaming on Prime Video, and Making the Cut, returning for Season Three this summer.

Vince, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA

Vince is a first-generation Chinese-Taiwanese-American. Nigel, Los Angeles, CA

Former college basketball player Nigel took his talents from playing on the court to becoming a successful real estate professional who is tired of playing games when it comes to dating. As a successful single living in Los Angeles, Nigel is tired of underwhelming relationships, the party scene, and attending couples’ trips with random dates. He’s ready to not only find love, but to be in love. There have been characteristics of women in the past that have taught him about himself, and he is no longer willing to miss out on love! He’s hopeful his future wife will walk through The Portal.

Jeff, New York, NY

Jeff is an outgoing, adventurous boy-next-door living in NYC. He grew up playing sports as a means to fit in with the straight crowd. Jeff started a gay travel blog that connects people from the LGBTQ+ community from all over the world to share their coming out stories (along with their bums). Kasey, Guttenberg, NJ
