Nickelodeon’s Blue’s Clues is tapping into more ’90s nostalgia by reimagining the decade’s international hit “Blue (Da Ba Dee)” by electronic/Eurodance group Eiffel 65 in a brand-new music video, and with the return of classic fan-favorite kitten Periwinkle in the season three premiere of Blue’s Clues & You! premiering on Friday, October 1, @ 11AM (ET/PT).
Retitled “I’m Blue,” the song was re-recorded by Eiffel 65 and features Blue’s Clues & You! star Josh Dela Cruz and former Blue’s Clues hosts, Donovan Patton and Steve Burns singing and dancing along with Blue.
Trivia: Did you know Blue’s Clues‘ Steve (Steve Burns) wrote and sings the Young Sheldon theme song “Mighty Little Man.”
In the season three premiere of Blue’s Clues & You!, “Our New Neighbor,” Periwinkle moves in next door and becomes Josh and Blue’s new neighbor. Josh and Blue play Blue’s Clues to figure out how they can help Periwinkle feel welcome and learn more about their new kitten neighbor along the way, helping him unpack and even skidooing to his old neighborhood to retrieve his missing stuffie. The new season (20 episodes) will follow Josh (Josh Dela Cruz) and Blue as they meet new friends; spend time with Josh’s Lola–his grandmother (Carolyn Fe)–and cousins, Steve (Steve Burns) and Joe (Donovan Patton); and go on all-new fun-filled adventures to the present store, outer space and more.
