Freeform releases its TV offerings for May 2021, including the final Season Premiere of “The Bold Type” new Episodes of “Cruel Summer” and “Everything’s Gonna Be Okay.”
”Cruel Summer”
The unconventional drama takes place over three summers in the 90s when a beautiful and popular teen goes missing, and a seemingly unrelated girl transforms from a sweet and awkward outlier to the most popular girl in town, eventually becoming the most despised person in America. Each episode is told from alternating POVs.
May 4 (10:00-11:00PM ET) – Episode #1004 – “You Don’t Hunt, You Don’t Eat”
Kate, reeling from the lawsuit, prepares her defense and finds friendship in an unlikely source. The annual Wallis hunting trip becomes the setting for an important first meeting.

Jeannette and Kate cross paths at the Skylin High takeover of the County Fair, where one is desperate to prove herself and the other to lose herself.

A new deposition threatens Jeanette’s case. A discovery causes Cindy’s suspicions about her own daughter to reach new heights as her relationship with Greg becomes further strained.

Kate struggles with a family secret she’s been holding on to. Joy tries to convince Kate to go on “The Marsha Bailey Show.” Mallory has a birthday surprise.

Matilda and Drea plan to spend the night in the woods to prove their independence. Genevieve goes on her first date with Oscar, and it is mostly not awkward.

Much to the chagrin of the family, Matilda announces big plans. Suze has plans of her own and wants to rope in Nicholas for help.

It’s Barb’s birthday and, of course, she’s depressed. Genevieve takes her to a party in the woods to attempt to turn things around.
May 27 (10:00-10:30PM ET) – Episode #2009 – “Carolina Sphinx Moth”
Nicholas is having a rough day and finds solace in Suze, which leads Genevieve to test Nicholas.

Jane races to finish a high-risk expose that could have repercussions for Jacqueline. Sutton has a chance to shine at a Scarlet retreat if she can regain her focus. And Kat wants to stay true to herself while making a big decision.
