From the network that is home to Hollywood’s biggest night comes the new podcast “Inside the Oscars®,” hosted by ABC News’ Ginger Zee and produced by ABC Audio. The six-part series dives into everything listeners want to know in the one-month countdown to an Oscar Sunday that will be like no other, including how filmmaking and the way we enjoy movies has changed. Plus, what makes a film Oscar-worthy in 2021? And what will pass for red carpet fashion this year? The first episode of “Inside the Oscars” is available today, March 25, with new episodes posting Thursdays.
“Inside the Oscars” features interviews with A-list celebrities, including first-time Oscar-nominated actress Andra Day, star of “The United States vs. Billie Holiday,” as well as unsung Hollywood heroes. It explores how the pandemic changed the movie industry, goes behind-the-scenes of the intricate system of choosing the Best Picture winner, and examines how the historical fights for justice portrayed in many of the nominated films relate to the challenges facing communities of color today. “Inside the Oscars” features reporting by The Undefeated’s senior entertainment writer Kelley Carter, ABC News entertainment contributor Chris Connelly, ABC News Radio entertainment correspondent Jason Nathanson and ABC News correspondent Janai Norman.
“Inside the Oscars” is available for free on major listening platforms, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, Google Podcasts, iHeartRadio, TuneIn, and the ABC News app. The final episode will be released on April 26, the day after the 93rd Oscars.

Plus, a preview of the history that could be made on Oscar Sunday and how the Academy is contending with all the curveballs of COVID ahead of Hollywood’s biggest night.
