Oxygen Presents True Crime New Programming Including the “Lovers’ Lane Murders” Special, Episodes of “Snapped: Behind Bars,” “Exhumed” and More During the Date with Death Event Beginning Thursday, February 11 [VIDEO]

Oxygen, the home for high-quality, true crime programming is calling all lovers of the genre to mark their calendars for the Date with Death Valentine’s Day weekend event, airing Thursday, February 11 – Sunday, February 14. The four night stunt will feature the two-night premiere of the new special “Lovers’ Lane Murders” (February 11 & 12) with former criminal prosecutor Loni Coombs,  as well as new brand-new episodes of the riveting series “An Unexpected Killer” (February 12), “Killer Motive” (February 13), “One Deadly Mistake” (February 13), “Snapped: Behind Bars” (February 14), and “Exhumed” (February 14), from Executive Producers Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos.

Thursday, February 11

9:00 PM & 10 PM — “Lovers’ Lane Murders” – TWO-NIGHT SPECIAL PREMIERE

In the premiere episode, after US Naval Academy graduate Cathy Thomas and her girlfriend Becky Dowski are murdered in a lovers’ lane area on the Colonial Parkway in Virginia, authorities are left to wonder if this is a hate crime or the birth of something even more ominous.

In the following episode, with Cathy Thomas and Becky Dowski’s Colonial Parkway homicide still unsolved, a new double murder less than a year later leaves law enforcement rattled. Are the slayings of David Knobling and Robin Edwards in another lovers’ lane area connected?

Friday, February 12

8:00 PM – “An Unexpected Killer” – NEW EPISODE

A loving, single mother of two is the victim of a bizarre murder, leading detectives to investigate a number of suspects, until a killer who’s been boldly living out in the open is caught.

9:00 PM & 10 PM – “Lovers’ Lane Murders” – SECOND NIGHT SPECIAL PREMIERE

In this episode, an entire region is on edge after college students Cassandra Hailey and Keith Call go missing from a lovers’ lane area in Northern Virginia. Is this third double homicide on the Colonial Parkway an unnerving coincidence or proof of a serial killer?

In the concluding episode, when Annamaria Phelps and Daniel Lauer turn up dead in a lovers’ lane area close to the Colonial Parkway in northern Virginia, many in law enforcement are convinced that this fourth double homicide in three years proves the work of a serial killer.

7:00 PM & 8:00 PM – “Exhumed” – NEW EPISODES

In the first episode, an unconventional love story ends in murder when a mail-order bride disappears without a trace. Detectives discover that someone closest to her has a suspicious past, and only an exhumation can solve the mystery.

In the following episode, a beloved wife finds her husband dead of an apparent suicide by poisoning. Suspicious detectives must exhume the body of her first husband to unearth the truth… and discover a diabolical plot devised by a lovelorn “Black Widow.”
