ET reports that Big Brother is doing things differently this season and will not be revealing the cast of houseguests until they enter the house during the August 5 premiere.
“Get ready to expect the unexpected!” the show teased on Twitter. “Watch the first-ever LIVE move-in and #BB22 cast reveal during the 2-hour season premiere on Wednesday at 9/8c on @CBS!”
BTW, it’s not the first live move-in, BB1 was live.
The two-hour season premiere of Big Brother airs Wednesday, August 5 @ 9PM ET/PT on CBS. Following the premiere, the series will air Sundays and Wednesdays at 8PM ET/PT, and Thursdays at 8PM ET, featuring the live eviction show hosted by Julie Chen Moonves.
On Tuesday, CinemaBlend‘s Mick Joest reported, “The word is that the casting interviews have been postponed because the contestant list has not been solidified as of yet. No one seems to definitively know why, though fans have speculated that one or more of the potential housemates that are said to be in quarantine has tested positive for COVID-19. This may stem from rumors of Season 19 winner Josh Martinez being a part of the season, though he was seen in a video partying in Miami in a crowded night club a couple of weeks ago. It logically tracks that a COVID diagnosis would force one or more casting changes, though it should be made clear that there are no confirmations at this point that anyone is sick.”
There are also rumors that there have been some cast changes because some of the All-Stars began playing the game before being quarantined. This is one of the reasons I’m not a fan of returning houseguests, many of them have become friends after their season on Big Brother, they have relationships and start making deals as soon as they get that call from casting. I prefer to see deals being made on the live feeds.
Speaking of live feeds, since we will see the houseguests move-in live, I see no reason why the feeds will not go live right after the premiere. Use this link, http://mortystv.com/to/feeds to sign up for CBS All Access and get the live feeds. Using that link helps support this site.
