YouTube Originals today announced “UHC: Ultimate Home Championship,” a first-of-its-kind competition special premiering Friday, June 26 at 12:00PM ET / 9:00AM PT on host Stephen Curry’s YouTube channel. The competition features some of the most exciting athletes and sports talent on YouTube, including The F2, Ryan García, DeAndre Jordan, Kristopher London, Von Miller, Ronda Rousey, and Lindsey Vonn, and “sideline commentators” including gaming superstar Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, ESPN’s Katie Nolan, and Saturday Night Live‘s Ego Nwodim.

“With ‘Ultimate Home Championship,’ we were able to create a fun and safe environment for entertaining competition,” said Stephen Curry. “We invited the best athletes in the world to compete and raise money for a great cause.”

The last several months have been an unprecedented time for professional sports, with every major league putting its operations on pause. But even with stadiums going dark, the spirit of competition is alive and well and videos of athletes training and competing in their own homes have exploded on social media. Enter the Ultimate Home Championships – a tournament where athletes and creators compete from their homes for the title of the world’s greatest at-home athlete.

The competition, which is built around four, high-octane rounds of at-home events from a laundry hamper basketball to a DIY high jump, will raise funds for the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund with viewers encouraged to donate directly on the “Ultimate Home Championship” watch page.

UHC: Ultimate Home Championship” is part of a new slate of YouTube Originals aimed to support, entertain and educate viewers around the world during this global pandemic through the platform’s #GetBy WithMe Campaign. Other recent projects include “Bear Witness, Take Action,” a global conversation uniting YouTube creators, influential public figures and prominent activist voices to create change, heighten awareness and raise funding to protect black lives on June 13 and “Dear Class of 2020,” a tribute to this year’s graduating class centered around the timely themes of hope, resilience, and camaraderie on June 7.

The special is Executive Produced by Stephen Curry, along with Unanimous Media (Curry’s multimedia company) and Portal A, an award-winning content company specializing in original and branded entertainment. The special was developed and produced by Unanimous Media and Portal A.
