The Golden Globe-winning drama about the emotional effects of an extramarital affair on the families involved, “The Affair,” starring Dominic West and Maura Tierney, comes to an end after five seasons.
The final episode will put any longstanding questions or grudges between Noah (Dominic West) and Helen (Maura Tierney) to bed. All it took was the threat of a deadly California wildfire to get them to speak their truths.

Holland Virginia Taylor was born on January 14, 1943, and turned 82 years 1 day old today. She won the 1999 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Judge Roberta Kittleson on ABC's The Practice (1998–2003). For her portrayal of Evelyn Harper on the CBS comedy Two and a Half Men (2003–15), she received a total of four Primetime Emmy Award nominations.
Taylor wrote and starred in the one-woman play, Ann (Broadway, 2013), based on the life and work of Ann Richards. For this she received a nomination for the Tony Award for Best Actress. In 2022 she returned to the role for its long-anticipated West Coast premiere at the Pasadena Playhouse, the state theater of California. -
