The Simpsons’ 29th Premiere Sunday October 1st

Can you believe it, 29 seasons?  On Sunday, October 1, 2017, The Simpsons return for their 29th season, at 8:00PM on Fox.

There have been many changes since the series debuted on the first hand-drawn Christmas episode, “Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire” aired on Tuesday night, December 17, 1989. In the beginning, Homer’s voice sterner, deeper voice, and sounded like Walter Matthau. Ned’s wife, Maude Flanders was killed off after voice actress Maggie Roswell had a pay dispute with the producers, but returned in 2002 to the show. With Marcia Wallace’s death in 2013 Bart’s teacher, Edna Krabapple was never to be seen again. The went to computer animation, then to HD, are just a few of the changes that come to mind.

In this season’s first episode takes place in a magical medieval world, Marge’s mother is turned into an Ice Walker and the only way for Homer to afford the cure is to force Lisa to use illegal magic. When the King discovers this, he kidnaps Lisa, and Homer must lead a feudal uprising to save her.
