TNT has expanded the premiere of Animal Kingdom to two hours. The series will now debut with the two-hour opener on Tuesday, June 14, at 9PM. (ET/PT).

Animal Kingdom stars Emmy(R) and Tony(R) winner Ellen Barkin (Sea of Love, This Boy’s Life, Ocean’s Thirteen), Scott Speedman (The Strangers, The Vow), Shawn Hatosy (Southland, Reckless), Ben Robson (Vikings, Dracula: The Dark Prince), Jake Weary (Pretty Little Liars, It Follows), Finn Cole (Peaky Blinders, An Inspector Calls), Daniella Alonso (Revolution) and Molly Gordon (Love the Coopers, Ithaca).
Animal Kingdom is a drama developed by Jonathan Lisco. It is inspired by the 2010 Australian film by David Michôd who is executive producer for the series, alongside Liz Watts who also produced the movie.
Animal Kingdom follows 17-year-old Joshua “J” Cody (Cole), who heads to Southern California to move in with his “freewheeling” relatives after his mother dies of a heroin overdose. Barkin plays Janine “Smurf” Cody with Speedman as her righthand man Baz. Hatosy is the oldest and most dangerous of the Cody boys. Robson plays Craig, the middle son, Weary is the baby of the family, Deran, Gordon plays Nicky, J’s girlfriend and Alonso is Catherine, Baz’s “de facto wife” and mom to 3-year-old Lena.
TNT ordered the pilot in May 2015,and picked it up to series with a 10-episode order in December 2015. The show is planned to debut on June 14, 2016.
