Yannick Bisson Takes Home 2016 Canadian Screen Award

Last night, Canada celebrated its finest in film and television at the 2016 Canadian Screen Awards.  Yannick Bisson took home the Fans’ Choice Award for his role as William Murdoch in the hit series Murdoch Mysteries.

“Thanks to the fans, all 80 bajillion of you — according to William Shatner,” said ‘Murdoch Mysteries’ star Yannick Bisson after his win for the Fans’ Choice Award, thanking “a guy named Gary Zimmel who told me to read for a ‘show in Toronto’ — surely career suicide. But here we are. Thank you to my awesome wife. I would never be able to do this without you. I can officially announce we are doing CBC ‘Murdoch Mysteries‘ Season 10, baby!” Murdoch Mysteries remains one of the CBC’s most highly rated programs, regularly watched by more than 1.4 million viewers.
